OK well I'll be more to the point. Miller is a loser and I don't want any part of a rebrand, or whatever the eff they wanna call it, that includes him.
- Sayros

Ok so you hate Miller but don’t want to rebuild. Not the plan I’d go with. This team stinks

Changing focus away from our shltstorm team…

Teams like the Panthers are really in a mess. NYI isn’t anything special. The Preds another year of same ol same ol. Other teams in various states of flux.

Aah even reading my own diatribes doesn’t lift my spirits 😂😂

We’re stuck with retool mode still so let’s work that angle. A retool could end up leading closer to a rebuild. Lets let Mgmt avoid that word that FA cannot comprehend. My 2 bits is all.

That’s fair enough but for awhile he is still here & new coaches give it a chance. Hold off then restate your wishes if he’s still an issue. It’s a reset on many levels.

I'm worried if he makes it past the TDL, we are stuck in the middle for 7 more years. Nothing says 'we effed up' and signals a rebuild better than trading a contract that hasn't even started.

Well on that I wouldn’t bet he’s gone unless some team comes knocking with a no-brainer offer. Slim to none but Bo & Kuz resign then.

Minor

lesser in importance, seriousness, or significance.

Major

important, serious, or significant.

Rutherford, I thought we needed to do minor surgery, but it looks like major surgery is needed.

I posted the other day
I had my knee scoped and scraped, to temporary help me with the pain and walking, while I wait for a knee replacement.

Minor(retool) is the scope and scrape, while the knee replacement is the major surgery(reconstruction)

I don't think they are talking about a scope and a scrape.

We’re a Pettersson walking away from going from retool to rebuild.

Unless it involves a lengthy contract coming back. The Flyers just extended Sanheim, whose contract kicks in next season, and apparently are considering trying to move him.

Major Surgery falls within their idea of retool on it’s deepest meaning. It’s why they avoid the rebuild word simply to placate FA. I could see it only being a rebuild if they can dump D cap which isn’t easy or likely. So it’s major surgery that can be more of a rebuild if or when Myers is gone. They just won’t use that dreaded word for who knows why.

Yes I can't stand Miller. A guy who says one thing, does the other and then won't own up to any of his mistakes. He sets a horrible example and is a non-starter for a rebuilding team imho ... unless you value throwing hissy fits as how he cares.

You can care and not be a total tool. People think because he shows emotion he's a leader or an alpha. He's the opposite. A very selfish player on the ice and when the camera and mic are on. He'd have to be quite the gem in the room, on the road etc. to make up for that. I rather think he came as advertised, kept it in check for a bit while playing well ... but now faced with adversity defaults to that guy other teams shied away from, got sick of or wouldn't commit to ... but we did, for 7 years

I cannot nor will defend Miller & his antics. What I will say is many teams can put up with one head case if the rest of the roster is good to great. This roster is far from that being there is not close to the amount of leadership to offset Miller. Only player in the system atm that I can mention is Pod who has what it takes but he’s gotta figure it out time is ticking. That isn’t close to enough & it’s on Mgmt to own up to what they said is to be done & do it. Starts now.

No, teams avoid saying rebuild, because that is a term that media wants to hear.

I swear you were just mentioning about how media influences certain people, yet here you are, demanding they use a media term.
