He's good. Really good. The real driver there in Winnipeg IMO.
- BINGO!

Isn’t the knock on him that he isn’t big and isn’t fast?

Maybe but I think it's because Vancouver is a shitty organization owned by a child beater and being run by Mr. Magoo.

Maybe I'm wrong but didn't I see that Rutherford wanted to fire Boudreau months ago and ownership said no? Bruce was hired before JR and was never his guy. Such a strange dynamic.

He's not a speedster but he's quick in tight and makes good decisions with the puck. Super smart.

JR says that he was unaware of Bruce having an optional 2nd year. The 2nd year was a mutual option, both parties had to opt-in, which makes this even more weird.

So there's two theories:

1) JR didn't want Bruce back, but was too afraid to walk away after the great success he had turning the team around so the plan was to just let him finish out this contract this year, but the team faltered so he decided to pull the plug earlier than he wanted to.

2) JR didn't want Bruce back and was going to let him walk, but Aquillini likes Bruce and said he'd like to see him brought back for another season before a decision is made on his future here. The team fell flat and Aquillini finally caved and let JR bring in his own boy.

and he projects as a winger, right? Seems like a good prospect, but not the one the Canucks need if this class is truly deep then they badly need a center or dman with top line potential in their system

I believe JR thought Boudreau was only under contract for a year when he took the job.

More like back east finally figured out what everyone out here already knows. FA was & is the big problem. They just ramble on about the rest for print. Out of touch & late to the party. Nothing new here.

Look at this way…

FA fired Linden & there is no Prez for quite awhile. Then fires JB & Green. Then hires a coach when still no Prez or GM.

It comes down to a moron making hockey decisions not hockey ppl.

Projects as a top line winger imo.
Safer pick than Michkov given the KHL.

If we pick 6oa it’s either Benson or Smith there imo. Gotta go my dreaded BPA. Trading Bo & or more players gives freedom for BPA dependent on the return. This is why I’d like Wright in a package & be nervous with Bo A Krak head for 8yrs.

The BobFather on Benson…

Bob McKenzie - TSN - Sept. 22nd: "The Winnipeg Ice fireplug sub-6-foot winger is a high-energy, hard-driving, in-your-face player. He’s not a pretty skater but he more than gets there, and when he does, he has the ability to score, make plays, and be a disruptive influence.

Trade Kuz and the entire 2nd line there.

Yup it’s the running theme of win falls for Canucks.

Any idea how much lower this club can go?
