That was one of several beauties from the poor fellow.

As long as he is there, that team is going nowhere.

What a pathetic journalist. Yes the organization did not handle this properly, but this guy obviously doesn't know how to do his job as a journalist. I will point to one part of his article in particular:

"How about the time Vancouver tried to healthy scratch forward Brock Boeser on Hockey Fights Cancer night, when his father, Duke, passed away from the disease just six months before?"

This would have been a coaches decision, not managements. And he is using it as "proof" that the organization doesn't handle anything properly? To me, this one sentence completely diminishes the point he is trying to make and turns his entire article into pure satyr.

As fans we need to hold ownership and management accountable, but also the journalists who write these articles.

Well…usually the coach can move bottom 6 in and out freely. But when it comes to top 6, top pairing D, it differs organization to organization. Some give coaches full autonomy on their roster, others want to give their approval before the coach makes the decision on the higher paid players. Judging by how Rutherford runs things, the organization was probably aware of it and signed off on the Boeser scratching.

I know it is Friedman but he said something yesterday on 32 thoughts.
He seems to think that Detroit is a possibility for Horvat. Mentioned something about them having over 40 million in cap, for next season.

Would like to see something like Rasmussen, Zadina, Sebrango and a pick, just to piss off Mini.

JR has said straight out that who plays was Bruces decision. Until Bruce comes out and says that management told him who did and didn't play, that will remain true.

Tocchet will need time to evaluate the roster. Wait for last minute deals or none at all.

I liked this comment, from Coach Miller

“I don't want that to happen again because I'm trying to teach guys how to play the right way on this team, and that ain't it,” Miller said Monday
