That would be another embarrassing moment for this organization.

- Reubenkincade

It makes too much sense for this regime.

Look for the high 5's at the draft table.

It has to be someone who can actually play in their system, not just stand around the ice

Horvat fits perfectly on Carolina's 2nd line. Don't think there is a better choice IMO.

The ask would be high and would Bo want to actually sign there? Many intangibles. Not sure CAR wants to go that route but they need a top level 2LC literally right now.

Team needs some extra late 1st and 2nd round picks

People can point fingers all they want but this started and ended with management & ownership. Anyone else just piled on once the ball started rolling. The only people to blame are the 2 people at the very top, Aquilini and Rutherford.

If comparing to a Canucks defender, I would say Bear.

So not a bust but a useful yet underwhelming player for a high 1st in this draft class.

From TSN analysis of Tochett’s teams:

Tochetts team are dreadful offensively, average defensively, and generally rely on great goaltending to win games.

Should go well in Van…

Seravalli on Rutherford and Allvin:

I have it on really good authority, crystal clear, impeccable sourcing that they wanted to make this coaching change months ago and weren't given the green light (by ownership)

We all know Van media likes to make a huge deal out of everything. The Canucks are still trying to win hockey games and make the playoffs (for whatever reason), Bruce gave them the best chance at that. He is under contract and has a job to do till he isn't anymore.

Ehh, I don't care about passport, there's betas and alphas in every country. If Swede bloodlines were all soft as (frank) then they wouldn't have had Vikings. Guys like P.Forsberg, Landeskog, Hornqvist got that viking blood

But yeah the kid we're talking about doesn't seem to be an alpha

The PP sucks, he has more PP goals and assists than anyone on your team.

6 goals 14 points Necas

8 goals 20 points Miller

If you are looking at similar profiles, you are looking at players like Nils Lundkvist, Timothy Liljegren, Adam Boqvist and Victor Söderström.

All similar size and junior styles. All are now worthy of a 1st round pick somewhere. Just not a top 10. or top 15 in this draft I'd say.

Don't let Donna and his everyone one of these players will never play an NHL game comments get in the way that they have all played NHL games.
