WTF happened in 14/15?

“Jamie Benn won the Art Ross in 2014-15 with 87 points.

Connor McDavid has 88 points so far this season.

It's January 21st.”

Marek said 3 players for Bo. Not sure if he said including a top prospect, or if he said which includes a top prospect.

The team needs a culture shift. Hopefully Tocchet brings accountability.

The disconnect between this management group and the fans is like nothing I have ever seen. They are firing a coach while the fans are chanting his name.

I watched the Giants lose and switched over to the Canucks just in time to see the Oilers go up 3-0 and turned it off.

Feel for Bruce the person but he hasn’t been a good fit for the players on the roster as a coach. Too many loses. I don’t think he’s a bad coach, with the right personnel he could still be a good coach, just not in Vancouver.

It’s just strange that they allowed it to get to this point.

Most fans can agree with this. The fans showing support is simply because of the level of disrespect from JR and his complete lack of class in how he handles stuff as President.

He was set up to fail, hired before JR and made to be both the scapegoat and lame duck after last season. The bump gave the management team the wrong impression of this team and instead of getting rid of the cancer (Miller), they doubled down and tried to put lipstick on a pig and it blew up spectacularily in their faces. I really hope Tocchet realizes what he's getting himself into and gets most of his money up front, because not much is going to change core-wise save for losing Horvat whether by trade or by him walking in free agency for nothing.

This management team didnt have to activate Bruce's 2nd year. It's on them this season.

Was JR lying when he says he gave the thumbs up on the Bruce hire and had him at the top of his list? If not, then he is involved in the initial hiring as well.

Hard to disagree with BB being set up to fail though. He had a better team last season. Bruce utilized his 4rth line/bottom 6 quite well last season. Those guys played hard physical hockey and had timely goals. They we successful at shut down hockey. They won games for him. Lazar, Studnika and who ever are pretty bad.
