Clearly Boeser got into Marwood's Indica.
- VanHockeyGuy

Several on here also got into his supply, as many got fooled by that run.

Apparently no one want's Boeser and his $6,650,000 cap hit. They will either pay to get rid of him or waive him. Later being the most likely.
- VanHockeyGuy

I don't think it's like that. I think what Rob Simpson said the other day is still the problem. The other GM's don't care about the Canucks.

I imagine the Canucks are still trying to win and are saying, we want X defender for Boeser in a trade and the other GM is at them. Boeser's value is not great but it's not what the Canucks are looking for. As Rutherford said "the same" in terms of keeping the same quality on the ice.

Even last season the rumour of a great return was available to Canucks for Miller but it wasn't what Canucks were interested in. Teams aren't interested in giving up young under 26 defenders for overpaid wingers.

If they are shopping Boeser there has to be a deal that can be done for his home team of Minny no?
- LordHumungous

Dumba's name has come up a couple of times, not sure how credible that is though. Similar salaries but he's a UFA after this season, so there would need to be a big add.

They just need to keep playing these guys, gotta up the trade value when really what is happening with each passing game, is the value is getting lower and lower. For some, it may have bottomed out, with no chance of recovering.

If you can't find any takers for him, waive him or let him sit. Move onto the next player.

If Minny actually thinks Boeser would be a good fit, straight up could do the trick. Then the Canucks could overpay Dumba for the next 8 years. 8 x $8.5?

Boeser the new Baertschi?

I don't think he would clear... Arizona, Ottawa, Chicago, Anaheim all have cap space for him, plus it's not like he's a complete scrub

Dumba hasn't been playing well either, I'm not sure he's VAN's answer moving forward either. Boeser is probably one of the players JR said no team want's, so here we are today. Next up is Pearson, same thing. Sad state of affairs.

The problem isn't the player, it's Canucks management and ownership.

Only if this new management didn't think the same way the last one did and all they wanted is young NHL D in every trade or players that are equal to what they are giving away.

Perfect, free's up $6,650,000. Do the same with Pearson, Myers and gain some cap space.

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone as VAN has never done well with asset management. Take you're licking and move on.

Medicine is long overdue, as we all know and complain about.

Don't think anyone would take Pearson. Myers will have some trade value around the TDL – probably not this year but next year. If the team is going to suck may as well keep Myers on it because he's the suckiest suck who ever sucked.

I really don't GAF either way! The flip flop from VAN with the Boeser sh*t show gave me, and I'm sure several others a good laugh. It's really not a good look for the Canucks but they brought it on themselves. They're pretty well the punchline of the NHL right now on the trade front.

They really need to clean house man. Expected much more from Rutherford (in terms of direction and communication and insight)... but honestly the consistent person in all this is Aqua. He needs to get the (frank) out of the building.

I don’t think it’s a bad contract, he (Miller) gets paid what the market value says he’s worth. In the past three seasons he’s put up over a point per game in 200+ games. LA just gave up a 1st round pick and 20 year old Brock Faber for Kevin Fiala. They then signed him to a similar deal to Millers. Yeah he’s (Fiala) three years younger but Millers contract is not outrageous given his offensive output.

Canucks fans think their players are one-off terrible because we watch them all the time. Truth be told, there’s no such thing as a perfect player, they all have warts when it comes to their individual games.

Personally none of us know what Rutherford and Allvin are thinking or what they’ve talked to other teams about. Maybe they haven’t offered up Miller? Who knows. I don’t think they know if they wanna rebuild, re-tool or compete. So they sit looking foolish with inaction.
