Doubt it
- Nucker101

Sat said he's not reporting anything but talk has picked up with Horvat to the point where it wouldn't be a surprise to him if he's traded next week and we're talking about 2 major moves (coaching).

Shall see I guess.

In four drafts for the Flyers as their GM, 2014-2017, Ron Hextall produced 1027 NHL games second round and beyond so far, and that number is only going to increase as well. And people say he was a poopty drafter. That’s better than Jim Benning or very similar.
- LeftCoaster

He was a poopty drafter outside of about 3-4 picks

I'd love to be wrong. I'm all for making a deal soon if you get a good offer

You are just always missing the bigger picture.
- manvanfan

People in general put way too much stock in the GM’s drafting outside of the first round. The reality is, it’s a collaborative effort among the scouting department. GM’s don’t generally have enough time on their hands to be scouting full-time traveling around the country. That’s why there’s a “Head of Amateur Scouting” person. How Cammi Granato got that job is beyond me. Time will judge her though.

Benning? I agree. Outside of Demko and Forsling his second round and beyond players are barely NHL caliber players.

I think it's either going to look like a spectacular offer from some clubs or a good offer from others.

Well it was probably Wiesbrod before. If they even had one, I seen blame placed on Benning for the mishaps. Head scouts were some guy then Brackett, then and now Todd Harvey I guess.

Pretty sure Grananto is more like a supervisor. Doesn't partake too much into the scouting. Maybe just higher end prospects.

I still think the biggest problems are Delmore and Gradin. Just about everyone I think has been replaced already.

Richard Matvichuk is a name Elliotte was throwing out there last week as possibility for Tocchet's staff

Wonder if Tocchet is going to bring Phil Housley with him. He's available right now as well.

I don't have much of an opinion about it. I don't trust JRs drafting or trading.
- VANTEL

See what happens, I don’t either, lots of American teams looking to shaft a Canadian team, JR is there for a reason and it isn’t to build a contender, bettman doesn’t want that .

Housley seems more like the Canucks type. American, soft and only cares about offense.

I think he's our guy to fix this defense.

Unpopular opinion among most but I would rather have Miller over Horvat now and in the future.

Watching the Rangers game. They are either a really bad team, or the opposition is an excellent team.

Tocchet officially hired today. News will be made public next week. One name being thrown is Sergei Gonchar… we’re just the old boys club from Pittsburgh

Reclamation projects and b prospects is what I suspect, if they get good trade them for more rinse and repeat lol, we can be a farm team to American teams. We screwed the pooch winning back to back presidents trophies and a cup contender they have to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

They’re bringing in Tocchet to keep Miller in-line, he’s not going anywhere. This is a re-tool, not a rebuild. Unfortunately.

Greenway being shopped too.

Dumba apparently had a brutal play that lead to a goal against last game so I think Evason is just holding him accountable.

I don't think any realistic fan is actually expecting Miller to get dealt, but people are just voicing what they'd like to see happen. I'm sure Reuby is well aware that Miller is here to stay for awhile.
