Sorry to say, but lekkerimaki will get nothing now based on his very apparent and public (world jrs.) bust.
- Sayros

Lundqvist for a 2023 1st despite being waiver eligible and not truly proving anything years after being drafted. Lekkerimaki still has value after just being drafted.

I agree. I doubt anyone really expected a complete teardown of the core, including myself.
- Reubenkincade

I think JR interacts more with casual fans than Twitter ones so in his mind “unpopular move” and core players being moved might be Brock Boeser

Lundqvist developed well in Europe, he had hype until he got a taste of NA hockey. Also a dman versus a winger.

I doubt they target another soft Swede for Bo. But who knows. Boston is the worst possible trade target. Trash team full of pretenders with no prospect pool. Worst ownership and fans in the league.

I think in JR’s mind anyone outside of Pettersson is on the table for the right deal

Why not?

That's the point

There was a chance to make some changes and he didn't at all.

- manvanfan

Maybe truth but didn’t trade for the sake of trade. Lets judge when a serious trade occurs not the 2nd lol

Drancer: Fans don’t seem to believe in the organization’s ability to ice a winning team. They don’t seem to believe in the org’s ability to treat people —including Canucks players and coaches — the right way. Canucks fans don’t believe in the direction of the franchise. Full stop
- manvanfan

Oh the hysteria lol

So easy to rile fans that are so desparate for something to happen but everyone claims same fans have patience for a rebuild. I don’t buy it. If FA actually authorizes a teardown same as a rebuild fans claim nothing proves to me fans can ride it out. Easy to say they can. I’m fine seeing what major surgery is then go from there.

I’d be just as disappointed if I drafted a kid in the first round who’s playing bottom 6 on a bad CHL team

Why are his two teammates from the same draft class doing better?

Are you saying that these aren’t red flags?

- Nucker101

The players aren't direction competition to each other. Different styles. They have been deployed very differently this season.

I'd be worried if his usage was different and if he was playing well and not producing. He really isn't far behind his teammates with less opportunity while they are playing well and he's playing like poop.

Drance is right but I hate him. He needs to shut the (frank) up already. Every day all day the same whining and message. The combination of his fat face and shrill voice make him the most punchable man in Vancouver
- CanuckDon

He’s a sensationalist parroting what media says everywhere. Few of them know Jack shlt. Prime example Miller @8m was less than pundits claim. Bo isn’t getting 9m anywhere like Lebrun etc say.

Pretty sure we watched Benning do major surgery a few times and it never ended up well. This management hasn't shown that they are all that different from Benning.

Crazy that 6 out of the top 10 scorers in the WHL are all draft eligible.
- manvanfan

I noticed that too bad we need D more. BPA F my guess D later &/or if more picks.

Would you throw Lekkerimaki at Florida for Sam Bennett?

Have to see the total package 1st.

Doesn’t matter, Florida wouldn’t do it. They wanna win now. Even if they suck this year they still want to win next season.

Plus isn’t Bennett the guy Tkachuk likes playing with?

- Nucker101

Duclair coming back requires cap space. Somebody in FLA is a goner.

Not Bennett

I think they might move Reinhart, UFA in 1.5 years and he’s a winger for them, not a Center so easier to replace

Bennett’s name has been out there as well. I think Reinhart plays center, just not with the Panthers.

Dallas paid a rich price for a smallish RHD to replace Klingberg. He’s not proven anything on any pro level. Late 1st for a swing that at best might be a saw off.

Ya, but thats why I say that a 15OA less than a year after being drafted (and had Mono) is A) Too early to call a bust and B) hasn't lost all (much even) of his value as a 15OA
