One of the shittiest jobs I ever had was retreading tires.

The NHL needs to move on from the retreading business.

Huska’s a good coach and I don’t think the Flames would stand in the way of him getting a shot. Bonus would be he knows Myers strengths.

If that is the case, then no thanks. Enough of the coddler types.

I forgot about him being charged with financing a gambling ring. He then pleaded guilty to conspiracy to promote gambling and was then banned for two years from the league.

A person of high character, should be a good fit.

Edit; this regime also had Sean Burke shortlisted, as a gm candidate. Pretty sure he had some issues attached as well.

I wouldn’t be so sure.

Two things I saw on Twitter this morning, totally unrelated.

1. Tocchet literally punched/hit OEL and knocked him down at a practice.
2. There are at least two pro scouts who think OEL’s contract is good value because Nick Lidstrom won Norris trophies when he was in his 30’s.

Unfortunately they both work for the Canucks

This is what’s I’ve read as well. Some quotes, “the Kessel whisperer”, “the good cop to Sullivan’s bad cop”.

That’s a bit worrying.

The team will probably get the same bump as BB got when he came in and then the inevitable decline the following season.

Apparently the NHL changed the scoring play to Horvat from Pettersson, so Horvat has 30, Petey still zero PP goals on the season.

I think it has to do with the long term Miller signing, if true, they clearly don’t like each other. I don’t think many players “like” Miller.

Only 7.5 more seasons of this idiot.

Bieksa was speaking highly about this guy last season, now he shuts his mouth, whenever the discussion turns to Miller.

I didn’t watch the Canucks game last night, I watched the Flyers game, very entertaining, and then the back half of the Kraken game. But I will watch this afternoon to see them get crushed by the Hurricanes.

Each game is more and more painful to watch. One glaring mistake after another. Lots of talk about playing for each other and then give away after give away in a ballet of individual play. Could be turning the tide on the Messier/Keenan years.

My daughter's basketball game was. They lost by 3. She had a 3 point attempt, with 2 seconds remaining that bounced off the rim a couple times, but didn't go in.

I wonder if sports betting sites are owned by organized crime, in a round about “legal” way. Sort of like No2 owning major shares in Starbucks while Dr Evil was frozen in space.

When the Chargers went up 27-0, a bettor bet $1.4 million on them to win the game to net $11,200.

Jacksonville came back and won 31-30.

@DKSportsbook has confirmed that this bet was indeed made.

I enjoyed the game last night. It was chippy and spirited. Lots of energy. Granted it was the Royals laying a thumping on the Rockets. (Suck it K-man) But I left the game feeling like my time and money were both well spent.
