Sort of, I guess, but Zacha in Bruins lineup and team is by far the best in the league, Canucks with Mikheyev in the lineup, even worse than most Canucks teams in their history.
One player moves the needle in an upward direction, the other moves the needle in a downward direction.

Like I said, I don’t watch much of their games, but seems like a comparable player getting comparable $. If you swapped them team for team how would they look, all other things being equal?

Anyway, the internet is all over the Canucks today for how they behave, mostly about the coaching thing. Essentially saying that Tocchet has given his 4 weeks notice to TNT, which means Boudreau will either need to coach for a month knowing he is already fired or they will dismiss him and run with Yeo/King whoever.

Brutal situation to work in.

I’m suprised Foote hasn’t cracked that Lightning roster. Was a very good junior.

That defense is huge. The lightest defender is 200 lbs and the shortest is 6'1.

My kinda defense group.

Big game today.
6-2 Canes. Horvat with both goals, then suffers season ending knee injury, Schenn hurts shoulder and is out 8 weeks, Kuzmenko breaks his hand and out indefinitely

- Reubenkincade

That would be so Canuck, except it would be a 6-2 win, so they think they should sign all those guys long term and come back with the same team next year.

Horvat throwing a little shade at the Canucks organization saying “at this point in my career it’s all about winning”….or something like that. He’s been in the league for eight and a half years and the only reason he’s sniffed the playoffs with the Canucks is because of the bubble thing. I don’t blame him, or anyone else, for wanting to leave the poop-show.

Although I was happy to see Green leave, wasn't thrilled when they brought in an all offense coach. Not a big fan of Tocchet as a coach, but he at least insists on his players giving an honest effort every shift.
Also, Nucker said he doesn't like small defensemen, so I can learn to like him.

I agree.
I believe the Canucks need a full cleansing, other than OEL and Miller, who are going to be hard to move.
Some of these players have some nice talent, but not on a team with players that don't, or can't play under a structured system.

I think the Canucks will have a new defenseman soon. Can see Tampa trading for Luke Schenn and the Canucks getting Cal Foote in return.
- Reubenkincade

I don’t see anything in Foote. Bottom pair

Surely someone in this organization has figured out that this group sucks.

Sounds like a hockey trade, bottom pairing guy for bottom pairing guy.

Some tend to over value their players. We’re all guilty of this once or twice.
Like seattles going to give up Wright and 2-2nds for Horvat.

From what I’ve read, he’s another “player’s coach” who lavishes a lot of attention on his “star players”.

If the above description is correct, I’m not sure if that’s going to help eliminate the cliquey, country club locker room.

Bring in Brent Sutter to fix the country club atmosphere.

One of the shittiest jobs I ever had was retreading tires.

The NHL needs to move on from the retreading business.

I wouldn’t be so sure.

Two things I saw on Twitter this morning, totally unrelated.

1. Tocchet literally punched/hit OEL and knocked him down at a practice.
2. There are at least two pro scouts who think OEL’s contract is good value because Nick Lidstrom won Norris trophies when he was in his 30’s.

I have brought his name up, in the past and most didn't like the idea. Figured he might be to hard on the entitled ones.

This is what’s I’ve read as well. Some quotes, “the Kessel whisperer”, “the good cop to Sullivan’s bad cop”.
