OEL healthy scratch!

I wonder if ducking from the puck in front of his own net has anything to do with it?

Bruce said “potentially” and he also went on to call him “arguably the team’s best defensemen”

That was on the same play that Martin Biron was talking about yesterday. 2 defensemen lined up on the same side, because Coach Miller wanted it that way.

What a fucking disaster this team is. Gets worse by the day.

I agree it goes deeper, but I think Miller is a major problem. One of the biggest. Everything from giveaways, defensive awareness, setting a poor example and now sub-par offense for his contract. When a guy is given a contract like that and is made to be a major part of your future, you would think most of those 'intangibles' would improve or at least stay at acceptable level. The offense, I mean I don't think he ever gets close to 99 pts again, and wouldn't really need to if he made strides in any of the categories.
- Sayros

That is the only thing he is doing that isn't negative.... his defensive liabilities are a problem but he does produce offense at around what he is paid for. None of us should have expected another 99 points. His average should be around a point a game though for what he is paid.

No point panicking when it's going to take 5-7 years to fix this catastrophe.

That's pretty well what he's saying, maybe something happens in the summer. I can see him standing pat at the TDL.

It is very meaningful. Losing more games means better chance at Bedard. Very meaningful indeed.

I agree with everything except sub par offence. He is still on pace for 72 pts, which gets players 8m+ these days.

Yes more losses and it will snowball and those numbers will creep up each game making it very enticing indeed to play more dries, delias, lockwoods and even woo woo woo jet woos!

Dhaliwal said they checked in on Dumba but doesn't think it's going to happen.

Provorov another name they looked at.

Difference here is, Rutherford isn't interested in doing a OEL type deal at the TDL.

Unless it was Boeser or something going the other way, why would we trade for a pending UFA in Dumba during a lost season?
