Most good players drop off in points if not 1st line & PP. The real question is if he is 1st line material.
- Nighthawk

Personally I think we are doing a great pump and dump if we actually trade him. I like the player but don't think top line on a contender which is gonna make his salary demands inflated since he is playing top line minutes on a bad team.

Going to be another season of wasted opportunity.

For over 40 years of following draft eligible players, these next 2 drafts are the ones you need to load up on.

- Reubenkincade

Yup need more high picks this draft. Next draft is another order of biz.

If someone offers a high pick in next seasons draft, you believe the offer should be turned down, because it is not in this draft?

Schenn $850, Pearson $3,250,000 = $4,100,000. You also have EP's contract coming up at the end of next season which will probably be about 10M.

How in the actual f*ck do you plan on keeping Horvat let alone Kuz?

Even if they somehow manage to trade Garland and/or Boeser they will be taking a haircut on those deals.

More homework. 2.4m from ended buyouts.

That is the money they used on Miller.

Yup trade when the iron is hot. Top liner on a mid pack team on a PO push top teams not likely.

High pick, as in 1st rounder, but in case you aren't aware, at least 3 top 10 picks have exchanged hands, in the past 5 or so years, Ottawa(Byram), Canucks (Guenther), and soon to be Florida.

In just takes a bit of foresight and those deals are out there.

Wanting a hockey trade for Bo makes more sense in knowing who they might get. An unknown pick & who for a prospect in 2023 or 2024 is throwing darts & hoping. Rather it be a 2023 1st given the deep draft. I’d peg a later 1st as mid 6 potential or maybe top 4 D.

For Kuz it’s getting the most value for a cheap contract on a mature player showing scoring & PP ability. His all around game looks to be not outta place.

Not sure how he is playing top line minutes, at just over 15 per game.

Bo Horvat is playing the most of any forward, top LC, Miller the 2nd most, top LW, then Pouty, #2C.
Boeser is next in minutes played, top RW.

I do not have the faith in this groups pro player assessment, that you have. This is the group that brought in age gap defensemen, Dermott and Stillman. Brought in another 5 million dollar 3rd line winger, who has shown 3 bursts of speed, so far this season and is another bad assessment of a pro hockey player.

Doesn't kill Penalties. otherwise his minutes would be closer.

Brock, who is also a RW, doesn't kill penalties either.

BTW, I would take Kuzmenko all day, everyday, over Boeser.

Like getting no lotto protection for a ‘24 1st from a team who’s going for it this season but could crash next season. It’s fortune 🔮 telling at its best. Plus you have to have the piece they need too. Lot of luck involved. Though maybe you can get multiple picks like press for a 2nd this draft and 1st not protected next one. Maybe the Bruins/Caps do it for Kuzmenko.

12g 13a for 25 pts in 37 games. That pace is 55.4 pts over 82 games. He also has positive 5v5 stats. at 4.7m he was actually a really good pick up for the team so far. Your assessment is rather lacking for Ilya. Dermott... I haven't seen him play so I can't say he was or wasn't worth a 3rd in a weak draft. and Stillman sucks, if we are paying a 2nd to dump whats his face, why do we need to take back 1.35m?

I'm thinking that would make a great banner for the side of Roger's Arena.

It also takes luck. Top 10 can be a player 2-3yrs away & no guarantee more than a 3rd liner. Byram cannot stay healthy. Guenther hasn’t proven anything. Later rounds mining D is our priority. There is lil to no chance bottom feeders are trading 1sts. That removes at least 6-7 teams.

We aren’t rebuilding. We need to dump cap the least painful way. Buyout Pearson. Trade Myers asap after bonus paid. Accomplish all of that then UFA’s for TDL trades for assets & mentor before then. Fire BB & most of his staff. Focus on Abby foremost while the big team goes through 2-3 yrs of transition becoming more stable.

I would take a chance on the Bruins 2024 1st. No deal yet for Pasternak, Bergeron could call it quits. They could be taking a last kick at the can before another quick retool.

It was never said age gap trades. Dermott for a 3rd is low risk.
Stillman no argument here.
Studnicka for MDP a win.
Bear/Pederson for a 5th 😂
It’s 4.75m for Miky who is not the problem when you have Boeser & Garland dragging the F lines down.
50+ pt pace +4 isn’t bad. BS called.
