Hot take;

Rutherford quits this summer.

- VanHockeyGuy

My prediction was that he slowly distances himself and eventually quits by the end of next season

Sounds to me like he is saying, I picked the wrong person.

Was such a crazy coincidence that his boy Allvin turned out to be the best man for the job from his 30 name candidate list.

More than now?

I really think he's done, or very close to.

Maybe they figure it out next year? These guys really don't know what they're doing lol.....

“I have a lot of respect for (Allvin),” Rutherford said. “He’s really good at what he does. The roles are different with me being president and him being the (general manager). I don’t do the phone calls to other (general managers) and things like that. He does the day-to-day stuff that I would have done in the past. That’s a little bit of an adjustment for me. And an adjustment for him in his new role.

It's nice that Francesco & company operate a 'learn on the job' atmosphere. Very chill & West Coast.

MTL in full tank mode.

Kraken are all over them, men against boys. I think I heard the Kraken have eight or nine Stanley Cups on their roster, that wasn’t by mistake, Francis planned that I’m sure. They play with pace, good hockey! Vince Dunn was a steal by Francis, that kids a good dman.

Seattle is a nice team to watch. They play hard, organized, pretty simple hockey.

Like Vantel says, they’re sold out every night, what’s the sense of urgency? Didn’t Harold Ballard used to say the same thing in Trauna?

Rutherford: “We’ve built a very strong [hockey ops]. We just have to work hard. We’ll never get as good as we should be as soon as everybody wants. But I think the opportunity is going to be there at some point in time that we can put a pretty good team together here.”

He's just saying random poop. Next interview he'll say that the team should make the playoffs next year.

The plan just seems to be wing it. They're overvaluing their players, then instead of accepting that fact and making a deal, they just sign them(Miller/Boeser).

They're basically just letting other teams dictate what they do, that's just going to lead to them re-signing the players they overrate/overpay(Boeser/Miller) and trading away players who teams actually want(Horvat/Schenn/Motte/Kuzmenko)
