You’re talking about the same assessment stage we saw last year, which lead to this year. That is the risk.

Who’s the coach you are replacing Budreau with?

- 1970vintage

NHL Asst Coaches
Jay Leach asst coach Seattle Kraken
Spencer Carbery asst coach Toronto Maple Leafs
Mike Vellucci asst coach Pittsburgh Penguins
Ryan Huska asst coach Calgary Flames
Manny Maholtra asst coach Toronto Maple Leafs <-- new add.

That’s a good Q & one I don’t have an immediate answer for. A task master would be my 1st choice if out there. Team D 1st & let offence come from from it. Dynamic duos with a 3rd wheel on lines. More aggressive forecheck & puck pursuit all over the ice. No need for a players coach. We’re way past that.

Sounds like Babcock oof lol

So are you hiring one of these guys as an interim coach or giving them a multi year deal? Why would they leave a job for a four month gig?

He's not the only one that turned a blind eye. His main job was to coach guys on the ice. Not an excuse overall, but plenty more people should have done something on management side. He was already punished by losing his current gig. Gotta be a path back for some otherwise attempts to sweep stuff under the rug will continue if the thinking is something bad happens under my watch = ostracized for life.

I could see his hard nose style whipping these guys back into the meddling middle for sure

Eeli Tolvanen 1G, 1A already tonight for Seattle.

Felt like he would have been a nice cheap get on the waiver wire to take a flyer on, must have had priority over the Kraken. Nashville used to be pretty high on him.
