Either way, I listed 8 teams out of 17 that he would be an upgrade over. Half. For depth reason's, he could be added to other teams as a center but with cap space, it would be unlikely.
- manvanfan

Then if we look at the other 9 teams:

Boston: It would actually improve them to move Krejci to 3c and make Bo the 2c. Bo is an upgrade on Krejci, though Krejci is still very productive.

Washington: Major upgrade at 2c, only thing that doesn't make him a better option than Kuznetsov is that he isn't the greatest at puck distribution, and that would weaken Ovi.

NYR: Major upgrade over Trochek

Dallas: They would probably be better off moving Seguin to wing at this stage in his career. Hintz-Bo would be solid together.

NYI: Another Upgrade for 2c. Hell he could put Barzal to wing.

St.Louis he is an upgrade, but I doubt they go all in at this point. They probably trade away.

Nashville: Upgrades 1c. I wouldn't mind something around Fabbro and their 1st.

Buffalo: Also upgrades 2c currently

3 most glaring problems…

Our D corp suck as a unit.
Our home record on pace for a record.
Our PK over 2yrs is horrific.

Who or how can any of those be fixed?

Help the D with better built lines. Better puck support with C’s or our faster wingers coming back to bring out the puck. From behind the net if necessary. Aka we suck at the D on breakouts other than Hughes.

Home record needs us to come out hard & banging with an aggressive 2 man forecheck. Each line need 1 3rd wheel who plays like this for starters. Boeser lays back as 3rd man high. Miky & Lockwood force the forecheck pressure.

The PK has to be more aggressive attacking the puck carrier. Too static.

Idk if makes sense. Thoughts?

To be fair, he's coming off of a serious concussion and playing his first hockey in a long time. And this is coming from someone who disliked that trade from the minute is was made and still does.

Really surprised they didn't give him an extended conditioning stint in the AHL

- Nucker101

I’d like to see Dermott lead more rushes & jump into the play but that takes smart wingers. If only Myers would go more north south & a lot less east west in our zone. He pins himself into dump outs & ops transition back into our face. More up n over if nothing else.

Krejci is damn good. Bo would be 3C til next season but he’s a perfect fit as Bergeron & Krejci age out. A Bruins type of player no doubt.

The point was stated. Remove BB & see if a diff coach with his own system gets more outta the roster. TG seemed to hit n miss on this. Not saying I liked Green lol. Never said Yeo or Colliton. Leave Colliton in Abby where he is doing a wonderful job. He could be a future coach. Get a placeholder if needed that will do things differently.

Stick to lines & give them a sizeable body of time together. The blender isn’t working during TG’s & BB’s runs. It’s ran it’s course. Try & stick with Hughes as RSD D. Without a big shake up that isn’t happening for a few weeks or longer something different is needed.

It’s most important to find a way to up value on players asap. A fresh face & bump might do it.

Idk if it matters but anything is worth a try for this roller coaster of a disaster.

That just sounds like a waste of money to me. Unless you are upgrading the coaching staff, you aren’t really changing anything.

These Bear, Stillman, Richardinson type deals are all the kinds of draft picks we need to take extra swings, but they've been throwing them away like candy since they brought on Toffoli.

Unless they have no foresight at all, it signals to me they are not willing to do any kind of rebuild, retool, regroup whatever you want to call it. The mandate from FA for the last many years appears to be patch it up, or I'll find someone who will ... and these trades indicate to that will continue to be the mandate.

Shouldn't Vancouver riot over their owner with those allegations? Such a progressive place I thought he'd have no chance hanging in there in that market.

Pacific division is poop but soon will be one of the hardest because they have all been drafting high for a while now. With once again the Canucks stuck in between with no enough talent to compete.

You are naming teams outside of the playoffs now.

I wouldn't be taking Bo over Krejci, Kuznetsov, Seguin. Not a real upgrade over Trochek. Those guys can pass the puck and play defence. They aren't just skate down the ice and shot players.

It’s FA’s money who cares other than FA lovers if there is any of them lol

I wouldn’t think on it as a coach upgrade. It isn’t working right now. At times we look good but when we look bad it is horribly bad. Simply changing coaches gives it a fresh look. BB isn’t getting rehired therefore nothing to lose. At worst it would only put an exclamation point in it’s 100% the roster & give a chance that somebody might flourish which would be a bonus.

Am I? Nashville has a better record than Edmonton and would be in the wildcard spot if not for the 3 less games they played. St.Louis is on the cusp and Colorado also has a better record than EDM and CGY. I also named the 2 teams in the east that could make a push. I don't know whcih extra team you had in mind when you said 8/17 teams, unless you meant to say 8/16 teams...

Seahawks playoffs/lower draft position > Aaron Rogers making the playoffs

I think the experience will help their young guys next year, it's been a huge year for them. Don't expect them to win in SF, but nobody expected them to win all year.... so it's just been fun (unlike the Canucks)

That was Colorado because they are very unhealthy. Once they get some players back, they should improve.

It's also quite rare for more than 1 team to make the playoffs with negative goal differential. St. Louis sitting at -16 and Nashville -7. If those teams wanted to make a push they should probably be trading for Bo now.

I just don’t think you are going to learn anything, regardless of who’s money it is. You might get a “new coach” bump, like last year, and then you get back to where we are now.

Off season, hire they people you want and give them the time to make meaningful changes.

That could be true but mailing in the season with a lame duck coach is a waste of an opportunity. Use the the last 1/2 of a reason as another assessment phase leading up to the TDL. Unless you believe nothing changes no matter if BB is here or gone. I simply want a change to see if anything can improve or even get worse. There is zero risk in a coaching change other than FA blocking it cuz of money. There is no realistic hope this roster can turn it around & dream of the PO’s. Even the PO’s would not be good for the longterm that it could’ve been in the past years. That boat has sailed.

So bad the Knights suck in it?

5. Golden Knights — They’ve been great against the Central and Atlantic, at a combined 18-4-0. They’re an OK 4-3-0 against the Metro. But against their own division, they’re a losing team — just 5-6-2 in the Pacific.

Says a lot about roster design. To compete league wide takes many pieces will skill sets to win. The Pacific has more familiarity with VGK which other teams will pick up on once the PO’s begin. In goal is their weakness probably. Dallas is the team to watch in the west.

You’re talking about the same assessment stage we saw last year, which lead to this year. That is the risk.

Who’s the coach you are replacing Budreau with?
