Went to a spruce kings vees game last night, awesome well played game by both teams, lots of hitting, scrums etc, both teams played the game with some intensity and feeling, kings stayed right with them until late, the vees are a good team and I can see them winning it all this year.

I don't wanna hear about this crap. I wanna know if anyone dropped dead at the game due to their vaccination status.

Just kidding. Who stood out?

All the way back to 2014.
- Load Management

You’re right, actually 2013 AND 2014, before that you have to go all the back to 1999 though. I think my brain tries to block out the final Gillis years and all of the Benning years for self preservation.

Of those four picks only Bo Horvat turned into anything, which is a continual reason why the Canucks suck, and have sucked, as an organization.

If GB wins against DET they're out. SEA still has to win today though.

There's also a giant black hole in the prospect pool to remind us.

I like bedard but he feasted on a couple of bad teams, he’s not very big but still young yet. I wouldn’t call him generational, I thought he had a tough gold medal game he was well checked by a good defensive team but again he’s 2 years younger than most at that tourney he’s got some growing to do IMO.
- Bettmanhatesus

He’s a very gifted player but he’s going to have to find a way to do what he’s doing at the NHL level, it won’t be as easy, that’s for sure.

I also agree that he’s not a generational player, he’s really really good, but generational is grossly overused. I know Wayne Gretzky wasn’t drafted but since the 1979 NHL Entry Draft there have only been five generational players in my opinion, W. Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Alex Ovechkin, Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid.

A good list. I would include Lidstrom in that and possibly Ray Bourque one could make the argument for both but I would say Lidstrom for sure needs to be included.

I know Nieuwendyk and Niedermayer. Not sure who else. They're running away with the league. I think they've only lost 2 games.

It's close but not McDavid style generational just yet. Kid will be a stud though. How about Peter Forsberg however he had the record with 31 points for the WJHC wow. Bedard had 23 points fore the tourney to put it in perspective.
- LordHumungous

I think he’s more of a team player than mcme lol, I’m not down on him he will be a great player and will gain a lot of attention.
