I would imagine Todd Harvey and a few other amateur scouts were there live. It would be irresponsible not to be.

I would hope the Canucks had someone there. Thought Cammi would have at least been there, as ultimately, scouting comes under her role.

I am jealous of Habs currently having 2 top 10 picks. They will win 1 of the lottery spots with the Florida pick.

Florida went dumb giving up condition after condition.

She oversee's the department. I'd say she probably coordinates more than anything

Trade Horvat and go from there. I don't care if the team has only Petey as a top 9 center anymore if Miller continues on his wing. 5.5M in cap space.

Continue to draft and develop, sign someone long term or short term whatever is available and best fit for the time being.

100% Trade Horvat for a return this team is not accustomed to.

Acquiring draft picks is also a novel idea. Not sure how that works when your in win-now mode though.

Kinda reminds me of the Ottawa trade for Duchene, when Colorado ended up with Ottawa's 4 overall pick.

They’ve been watching all the game highlights on You Tube, no need to spend big $ when you don’t have to.

Lyle has good takes that at are fair assessments on Canucks.

https://www.spectorshocke...umor-mill-january-6-2023/

Ignoring homers wishes & other fanbases homers Lyle makes a lot of sense.

Brock an offseason move is best. Bo’s scoring is very surprising but it does ignore the role he was always previously placed in. No surprise he’s scoring but not a consistent 50 but more like 34-40. He obviously still is the biggest chip to trade but patience til the right offer happens. I give it a high probability. If not then they’ll cave & rework the cap in the offseason. Miller stays but will be shopped in the offseason. Garland will be a goner by the TDL. Schenn also simply cuz this roller coaster won’t end. Kuz is the most difficult decision. I prefer resigning him. No matter what day it is I still come around to Garland should be the 1st domino. It’s hard waiting for something to happen but it will.

Kuz is great, it's refreshing to see someone on the team perform so well and have a blast doing it. Not sure how well that sits in the room though?

Yeah, I like him. He's a smart offensive player, I like that he's always around the net without the puck(very few guys on this team will actually go to the net regularly).

But I'd still look to trade him, he turns 27 next month. I think this team needs a 2-3 year period where they load up on future assets so he'd be around 30 when it's time to even start trending upward again.

Have to make some hard decisions, something this fanbase and franchise struggles to do.

But they'll probably end up signing him.

I have an in out policy that I think she be used by any half decent NHL GM, where if you can do your job it will always equal out at least.

Myers was all over McKinnon yesterday. The giraffe peaked once in a while but he played well yesterday.

So (frank)en inconsistent all of them.

Terrible but yeah, when you essentially trade away 3 first round picks "all protected" and somehow not protected at the exact same time.

I still want Myers around unless some team is willing to give up a solid future asset for him. He's still prone to major (frank) ups which will be good for the tank.

Yesterday was a good day for hockey, Canada wins gold, Canucks win a hockey game, Seattle beats the Leafs and of course, the Bruins beat up on 1 of the Wests best teams.👍

A few blame the defence solely, which if they were better it would help but it would also help if goalies made a save or two more and if the forwards helped out more.
