As someone who follows a couple of the other big pro leagues in North America with some hilarious laughing stock teams. I honestly think the Canucks might be a bottom 5 contender for worst run team when you factor in how they spend to the cap every year too. Bottom 10 at minimum.

Like in the NHL it's the Canucks/Flyers/Yotes right now as a clear bottom 3 for laughing stock teams. Nucks/Flyers blowing tons of money for poop rosters and no real hope coming through their pipeline. Yotes are obvious for on and off ice reasons.

Pretty sad state of affairs.

The Canuck way 😂

Drance said the sense he's getting is that since Boudreau isn't holding players accountable like mgmt wants, mgmt may trade away a player(s) that Boudreau leans heavily on to force him to play some of the other guys.

Went onto mention mgmt is beginning to understand they may have to lose some trades.

LOL

- VanHockeyGuy

It's a good thing that Allvin and Rutherford chose to opt into Boudreau's contract

Book a slot on Sportsnet have pictures of each player with the number 86. Once the player is drawn, GM"s can call in live and make a bid within a 5 minute timeline. Rinse and repeat. 😂

Over the last 8 years or so in terms of worst run, I'd put these teams at the bottom in no particular order:

Vancouver
Arizona
Edmonton
Buffalo
Flyers
Ottawa

They gave him a contract so that it will be easier to move him. His pending UFA status is what held back blockbuster trades last spring & summer.

I really don't think they'll trade him.

Just off the phone with a prime source...

The Vancouver Canucks may be making a MAJOR move soon either on the player's side or behind the bench following last night's embarrassing loss at home to Florida 5-1.

The loss also saw goaltender Thatcher Demko go down with what looked like a hip or groin injury and ultimately required help to get off the ice.

The Canucks have way too much talent to continue to be so mediocre and according to my sources, upper management met and is very much tired of this team's current lackluster path. They need defense badly and have been getting calls to make a move for a while. Everyone but Elias Petterson and Quinn Hughes look to be in play...

A coaching change is also a possibility, but such a change feels unlikely after Bruce Boudreau lifted them from this funk just a year ago and was rightfully extended...

I will be tracking this closely and throughout the weekend...

This management team is about to trade assets for a goalie to try and save this team's chances at the playoffs.

Maybe it's best that Carol decided to move on. She was always so positive with this terrible hockey team. That has to suck the life out of you.

Rutherford stated teams aren't interested in the players they would consider moving.

I don't think lose trades is the answer, maybe not get perceived value.

Something like Garland for a 3rd and 4th round pick. Similar to Bjorkstrand trade to Sea.

Horvat will still have value.

Drafting winger after winger after winger has definitely limited what the Canucks can look like.

3 D 2 C and 8 W in the first 2 rounds in the past 9 drafts.

When the puck went over to Mikky? Are you on a different play because it never made it to him.
Do you know what forechecking involves. I'll give you a hint, standing around the other teams blue line isn't it.

- manvanfan

Never mind, I can't try teach stupid. It is all on Stillman for trying to check 2 guys at once, because the top 5 line in the league is clueless on how to be a top 5 line in the league

The funny thing is, the money FA wanted to make with 2 playoff games, he could have made by not spending to the cap and saving those millions. LOL

“There’s certain players you can’t trade because people aren’t interested in them and so maybe we’re going to get to a point where we’re going to have to take a look at trading one or two players that in the off-season we would never consider doing,” Jim Rutherford told Canucks Central. “Now the only way we would do that is to trade that player and get something in return that we can at least stay the same as we are now and get a couple more younger assets.”
