There are lakes here that are infested with trout. I've had 30+ fish days, but I prefer the challenge. I get bored releasing trout after trout. I prefer quality over quantity. The challenge.

I don't fish those pecker fish lakes though so it is a case of quality over quantity. There are a handful of lakes in the Cariboo where the trout average(during prime time) what many people would call huge. As big as Coho etc... Those are the lakes I learn to fish. I wasn't really interested in trout fishing before I learned how to catch fish in these lakes.

There isn't really a trophy trout fishery in the lakes on the Island. They come here to do that. At least until the salmon show up.
