It’s his age and this franchise’s situation that don’t align. Otherwise I’d be okay with signing him for sure.
- Nucker101

If we didn’t have Brock and OEL sure. Although I think the room needs to be blown up so even if we didn’t have cap problems I think he needs to go

Yup

It’s best for both parties to move on

Why? He's a lame duck who knows he's toast this year. Gets paid either way.

I honestly don't know why it hasn't been tried yet. Lotto line lasted less than 10 minutes on the season and that would have been the only time the two played together.

Build around EP, QH and Demko. Do whatever you have to do with the rest.

Mgmt tried to plug D problems but won’t be giving up assets to dump players no matter what is suggested. Has to be a shake up coming.

Bo has a higher PPG than any player on the Islanders. He has taken more face-offs than anyone on the Islanders.

Yeah I guess they are trading for a 3LC

He’s basically auditioning for his next job but after this experience I think he may just want to retire

Sad to say I think this is his last kick at the can (at least for head coach), and I think he knows it. His buffoonery can be endearing in a place like washington where you're winning most games and got a star like ovie to joke around with, but with a struggling or building team, he doesn't seem to know what to do or say. Feels like he's waiting for the good times and feels ... but they ain't coming in van and his face tells that story. Just lost for answers.

I think people are taking his goal scoring ability a bit for granted. It’s no longer just a hot streak, just look at his last 82 games or even his last 100 and average it out over a full season.

Drance mentioned that Horvat had become recently obsessed with trying to find the best stick that works for his ability to shoot. I know a lot of goals have been tip-ins but he’s also a lethal finisher from the slot now.

I do think he needs playdriving winger with him to help his line maintain puck possession but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he scored another 35+ goals again next year either in Vancouver or on his new team.

All they being said, you have to trade him. It’s best for him and the team, a win-win situation if the right deal is made.

- Nucker101

100%...it's a must at this point. And to your first point, yes, he's tied for third in goal scoring in the best league in the world and he's brought that part of his game to another level. Some of those tips he's making isn't by fluke, he's worked on it and it's paying off.

Saravelli suggesting Caps and Bruins.

I don’t want Lys0l or Beecher as centrepieces of deals for a player as good as Horvat so no to Boston

- Nucker101

Keep in mind Rutherford traded Pearson for Gudbrandson, and Hagelin for Pearson. He trades for the same type of trades that everyone here hates. Look at his track record of trades since he has been with Canucks.

His signings are also the type most here don't like. The Canucks have hired Benning 2.0

I don't think there are many fans left that don't agree, this team needs a major overhaul, unfortunately, some of the players are difficult to move, so they need to move the easier ones like Bo, Schenn, Kuzmenko and Pouty.
I would add Hughes, but he may need some type of sweetening added.

Cool, carry on about the same one player and his singular impact on the group.
- Marwood

Singular players completely have an impact on the team, that said, as you already know, it's really important to have balanced primary scoring as well as secondary scoring and why it's important to have offensive contributions from your bottom six guys and your "D" core. Your best guys need help.

Connor McDavid has 73 points in 39 games this year, unbelievable really, you don't think he has a singular impact on the Oilers? Without him, even with Draisaitl, that team would be a bottom third of the league. They're garbage!!
