From that link that minivan posted

It feels like the stage has been set ever since Canucks president Jim Rutherford told Sportsnet 650: “The better he plays, the better return we can get for him.”

Bo playing extra hard to get traded.

There was one in that thread that Lefty posted who got shamed by the slurpers (Don) for cancelling his tickets because of what Benning was doing. I think Bloated also cancelled season tickets?

My favorite post in that whole thread was hank the tank’s lineup calling it a cup contender

- 1970vintage

Well that dude was acting like a little B!tch. Act like a B!tch and get slapped.

Reinbacher for Austria going to pull the Seider and hope into the top 10. 27 minutes played today and a plus 2 even though his team gave up 4 goals. He played almost half the game.

Looks like someone worth following, could be worth taking mid 1st.

There is a lot of truth in this…

https://canucksarmy.com/n.../in-defence-of-j-t-miller

After reading it much made sense. What I glean from it is BB wants players to be what they are not. Also shows the roster design is very flawed. Nothing new there. Adding to that the F’s are more offence oriented it further strains a poor D corp. There is enough scoring but not nearly enough diggers to do the harder dirty work.

None of the C’s are shutdown types. So what to do about it?

Canucks Army is the purest form of trash out there. I only read it if I want to induce vomitting.

Yeah return on him should be good.

I don't think return on Bo will be as great as people think. Rental return at best. Teams will be weary of such a dramatic increase in production vs. previous years. Whoever gets him I doubt signs him.

Miller & Boeser we will have to pay to get rid of. Folks here thinking we can get something decent without giving up are not realistic. These guys stand out like a sore thumb plus/minus on the stat sheet and on their contract. A scout watching game will quickly realize, yes this is a bad team but these players are greatly contributing to how bad they are. Not saying entirely bad players, just playing really really bad which at best means a team taking a flyer for a turnaround = bad trade offers.

Sure.
Bo has been pretty consistent in his messages, like how he has said anything but playoffs, is a huge failure on our part.
The guy has been the teams best player, over the last 80+ games. He has deserved his opportunity to get the fuck away from this group, unlike douchebag Miller, who deserves to be stuck in thos gongshow and Brock who is going to be almost impossible to move without some sweetening to a deal.
Can't see how anyone can say Hughes and Pouty are worth keeping either, but maybe that's just me.

Different perspectives help clarity. Better than us ranting & raving about the obvious. Trying to find solutions is difficult. Something has to give & looking forward to the 1st domino.

Devils-Hughes and Garland
Detroit - Brock and Miller
Canes-Horvat and Schenn
Jets- Brock and Garland

My guess.

- Reubenkincade

After I asked, I realized that every one of those teams could use Horvat only pretty much except for Winnipeg.

Devils-Jack isn't taking many face-offs normally Huala.
Detroit- Copp being asked to take face-offs.
Canes- Kotkaniemi is sucking at center.

Also 4 of the stronger prospect pools around the league that could fill Van's needs.

I get a kick out of them and the guzzling that goes on. Sometimes the comments section is pretty good, but the blogs, not so much.

I have been posting in there for a few years before I got here, under various names, due to different reasons.
My comments usually didn't go over very well, with the guzzlers, but they are starting to see how bad these shiny players are.

An example is Lafrieniere, but pretty much anyone gets put in the doghouse elsewhere and canucks get linked to them. Difference with a guy like Laf, still a high chance of his trajectory changing whereas I think Boeser has established what he is (and isn't) and Miller certainly has, and is unapologetic for it with no willingness to change.

What is the Mgmt's one ask?

I wouldn't count out the Islanders wanting Bo either. That would be a pretty good 1-2 punch, with Barzal and Bo.

Fair take from Twitter;

"It all went sideways when Linden left…He had a realistic vision and the owner didn’t like it… Now look what has happened….high contacts, long contracts we cant move and players that are going through the motions"

- VanHockeyGuy

Not a fair take at all lol. It was brutal when he was in charge one idiot left and more took over

Easy to look back and see how Benning's day by day went but just a question mark whether Linden's plan would have actually worked.

More worth a shot to try Linden's plan now and not Benning's though.

- manvanfan

As I recall he spoke to several colleagues throughout the NHL such as Sakic & Yzerman and followed their advice to do a proper rebuild.

But what do those guys know?
