And yet everything is the same. A team that has drowned out the coach and don't play for each other and a management team that says it's hard and then doubles down on past mistakes.

Fair take from Twitter;

"It all went sideways when Linden left…He had a realistic vision and the owner didn’t like it… Now look what has happened….high contacts, long contracts we cant move and players that are going through the motions"

- VanHockeyGuy

Fair take would be that Linden's plan had the same possible success rate as a re-tool.

Jonathan Lekkerimäki is not on a line for Sweden in today’s World Junior semi final.

He will be the 13th forward.

- VanHockeyGuy

My opinion. If he tried as hard as all other teammates, he's the 2nd best player on that team next to Carlsson.

I even had Ostlund one spot ahead of him in the draft because Ostlund was the center. More and more viewings Ostlund can't shot like Liquor. Probably close in hockey IQ. He's not as fast.

Another interesting stat is Kuz has zero penalty minutes.

I don't notice him particularly soft. In fact, he seems to go to the corners and plays along the wall pretty hard. Hard to believe not even an accidental trip or anything.

Easy to look back and see how Benning's day by day went but just a question mark whether Linden's plan would have actually worked.

More worth a shot to try Linden's plan now and not Benning's though.

Guy is going to get a kings ransom when traded. There is not a single contending team that can't fit him under their cap. and they could all use a guy who is near a PPG mostly at 5v5.

It's an ownership issue. He clearly tries to involve himself in the decisions and doesn't have a clue.
Boston and New York have re-tooled with some success, Colorado and Tampa have re-build with success. From the top down comes the direction and accountability. We just have a total flake as an owner.

Reinbacher for Austria going to pull the Seider and hope into the top 10. 27 minutes played today and a plus 2 even though his team gave up 4 goals. He played almost half the game.

He plays smart & doesn’t take chances to get silly penalties like Pearson was.

It’s easy to say now, after it’s already happened, but if you buy into the the ‘best predictor of future outcomes is past performance’ or however that saying goes, I’d be pretty concerned…

If anyone is wondering about buyouts. Boeser was signed at 25&U so you only have to pay 1/3 of the contract. $2,216,667 for 4 seasons is the buyout.

He has 21 points in 29 games. How does he keep ending up on the scoresheet

Garland is the same with the 25&U but his is 850K for 2 than 1.8M for 4.

- manvanfan

Garland doesn’t need to be bought out. On Brock

Yeah return on him should be good.

I don't think return on Bo will be as great as people think. Rental return at best. Teams will be weary of such a dramatic increase in production vs. previous years. Whoever gets him I doubt signs him.

Miller & Boeser we will have to pay to get rid of. Folks here thinking we can get something decent without giving up are not realistic. These guys stand out like a sore thumb plus/minus on the stat sheet and on their contract. A scout watching game will quickly realize, yes this is a bad team but these players are greatly contributing to how bad they are. Not saying entirely bad players, just playing really really bad which at best means a team taking a flyer for a turnaround = bad trade offers.
