No instead Lind and Woo will save us.

After that Gaudette will save us.

Nah I think more sea of granlunds would be better than Forsling/Demko/McCann/Boeser

There are so many of your favourite draft picks that could be had as reclamation projects though
- manvanfan

You mean like Turcotte and Bellows?

Oh right, those were 2 players you liked.

My bad, watching Buffalo game, but anyway a top tier D man either handed seems to be the true requisite to be a dominant team, and sorry, but QH ain't that level of D

How did you manage to get into 1st round picks?

You think that Forsling wasn't a reclamation project after being traded twice and then being claimed off waivers.

He was also a late round pick so he fits into bath categories

The main talking point today ahs been that only early 1sts are game changers, the rest is a crapshoot.

Bellows? I'd have to see evidence of me saying that because I sure don't recall ever wanting him. Turcotte yes. He's still got a bit of time left. I doubt LA going to part with him yet.

Not exactly a reclamation project like Glass has been or Zadina would be.

Power is the one who impresses me the most on their blueline, but he doesn't get PP1 time and isn't as offensively gifted as Dahlin, but I find that he controls the game when he's out on the ice. Rarely see him make a bad play with the puck and he's good at tilting the ice

Oh yeah, he's awesome too, but for the sake of my crazy proposal, I thought the offensive side of QH and RD would even out so the add, although high, would seem to be attractive for a win now opportunity. Although the most impressive guy seems to be Samullson, so ?

This is what Colorado got for Duchene. Without Ottawa sucking horribly and 4oa. They literally would have got Sam Girard.

Without Tage Thompson coming around. Buffalo gets poop kicked in this deal for O'Reilly.

Does this look like picks and prospects are the better than having a good bonafide NHLer.

- manvanfan

Except for the fact that both the things you dismissed came true

Trading for mediocre NHL players when your team is already full of mediocre NHL players makes zero sense. You can develop your own mediocre players, and maybe some of them turn out to be stars. But you can’t do those things without draft selections.

I think I mentioned Zadina once, maybe twice, but pretty sure Dobson is who I wanted in that draft, you know a defenseman, that happens to be Right handed.

Surprised you didn't bring up Svozil, Nemec, Jiricek, McTavish, Johnson, Samuelson,or your usual stand-by of Rasmussen, who I said I wouldn't mind having, just not at the draft position the Canucks were picking at.

Oh right, why would you bring up players that you were wrong about.

Turcotte is unlikely to get a fair chance in LA being behind other C’s. Good in a package.

You labelled Zadina the 2nd best player in the draft. It was wrote in the book. So it literally had to be typed by you.

It's great you like about 10 players every draft. It's pretty easy to get a few right when you get a host of choices.

I only laugh when you say things like Zadina or Vilamaki being top 5 defender in the draft or that you have no interest in Makar and you wanted Vilardi, Glass, Necas and Rasmussen ahead of Pettersson.
