A bunch of picks for Bo would be horrific
- CanuckDon

Not quite as horrific as keeping him to try to make the playoffs, then having him walk.

Nice move by the Hawks
- Nucker101

Andrew Hammond · $325,000 (AHL/JR)
Shane Bowers · $0 (Signing Rights)
2019 1st round pick (OTT - #4 - Bowen Byram) [Conditional]*
2019 3rd round pick (OTT - #63 - Matthew Stienburg)
From NSH:
Vladislav Kamenev · $833,333
Samuel Girard · $728,333
2018 2nd round pick (NSH - #58 - Filip Hållander)

This is what Colorado got for Duchene. Without Ottawa sucking horribly and 4oa. They literally would have got Sam Girard.

Patrik Berglund · $3,850,000
Vladimír Sobotka · $3,500,000
Tage Thompson · $925,000
2019 1st round pick (STL - #31 - Ryan Johnson) [Conditional]*
2021 2nd round pick (STL - #49 - Ben Roger)

Without Tage Thompson coming around. Buffalo gets poop kicked in this deal for O'Reilly.

Does this look like picks and prospects are the better than having a good bonafide NHLer.

I’m arguing the value of picks vs age gap players that get traded
- Nucker101

Well no you are talking about trading lottery picks no one wants that 🫠

I'm not sure how much I trust what JR says in general, I think he himself is a bullpoop master who just tries to say what he thinks the media/fans want to hear. He's like a mix of Gillis/Benning, he lies and tries to play the media/fans but then also says dumb poop too
- Nucker101

JR is just another yes man, everything this team does has to be run by FA first.

Agree. You don’t draft 9oa & develop a top 6C to start all over again & hope. Lucky to break even so there is no logic to even try.
- Nighthawk

Then what do you do if you can’t sign him? Newhook? Roslovic? Let him walk?

You’re not getting a Lundell or Byram for Horvat and Canucks want age gap players so the next best thing in my opinion is 1st round picks or recently drafted prospects who are tracking well, not guys on nhl teams that haven’t lived up to their hype and are tracking as dime a dozen role players.

Agree or disagree?

- Nucker101

Well I’d prefer Laff to 24th overall. So neither agree or disagree

Okay Canucks high 2nd for Jack Roslovic and another future 2nd for Alex Kerfoot

3rd for another Dermott

Easy wins

31. Fabian Lysell, RW, 19 (Boston Bruins) Daily face-off 31st best player outside the NHL. Still a very big question mark whether he even becomes an NHL regular.

Him plus Boston's first that could be 28th at best right now.

What was the other thing you had in there?

You get 7 picks every year and there is only 23 roster spots. Probably not going to have enough space for everyone at the rate you are going. Nor the cap space.

So you’re saying that cap space and roster space should be a factor vs straight nhl probability odds?

Petey will need to play triple shift to help all the players that will play on his wing.

He has talent but if you set him up to fail here then he won’t realize his potential. He’d need to be glued to EP.

If Bo is going the other way then he’s the only Center left on this team that can drive play and make his wingers better

Canucks should just keep all there players and keeping adding on to the trash pile with trash from free agency, that way you are not wasting a 9th overall pick.

It’s clear to all intelligent hockey fans that Boeser is a negative value asset. The return for Bo will stink and Schenn will be a 2nd which is close to worthless. Lottery picks are gold but Bo won’t warrant one. We also won’t receive a blue chip prospect. It will be a reclamation project and a late 1st
- CanuckDon

Better get at least get better then what Copp got... expiring contract and a worse player.
