All those are reasonable especially if Bo resigns but that’s an unknown.

I’m expecting something nobody right now sees coming. Just a hunch.

not hoping, guessing.

Roslovic + Peeke + 1st

Or

Lysol + Zacha + 1st

or

Laf + Chytil + pick

One of those trades has a LOT more value than the other 2.

It’s the Travis Dermott syndrome. Honestly I think most would prefer it was Miller and it doesn’t look likely that Bo resigns.
- K-man25

Depth of quality on D mucks it all up. D like Dermott are too difficult to gauge. Of course Myers comes to my mind. I can live with being stuck with OEL for up to 2 more years. Hughes complimented by Schenn or Bear I can live with. OEL has no such complimentary partner. Remains the big problem in our top 4. The ever elusive top 4 RHD.

Are fans really hoping for a trade of a player on pace for fifty goals for another healthy scratch player on pace for 12 goals

Time for a coffee and to try to figure out WTF they are thinking.

I have said it before I really care a whole lot less this year than I have in years past, so I don't really care who they trade but trading Bo is a step in the direction of a tear down/rebuild. That will go along side perfectly with their playoff push and bubble finish.

Wanting to trade for Dach is another sign they really have no clue of what they are doing. His highest goal production in a 70-game season is 9. He looks like he may break that and hit 11 this year.

Still living off that playoff he had as a rookie similar to Sam Bennett.

This is the first time I've heard this. I doubt it's anything more than another rumour for the giant pile that's accumulating.

We lived with lugongo cap hit, OEL longer, but a buyout has almost no cap hit next year, according to Drance, but it's on the books for a bunch after.

Trading Bo is going towards a rebuild I agree 100%. As for Dach he doesn’t do it for me especially since on the wing is where he’s best & that’s not saying much. We need a real stellar piece for Bo plus a 1st as a min in the package. Resign him & he’s still a wanted commodity if traded later.

any new contract for Bo will likely include a full NTC

I don't care about a 2 mil cap hit in 7 and 8 years away. The cap could be 100 mil by then. It gives you 5-7 mil in free space for a guy playing like a 2.5 mil Dman.

Minny did it x two with Parise and Suter. They still signed the new guys at high contracts and are doing fine.

There are two years the penalty would be a 4 mil cap hit but with this year's raise of the cap and next years I think that should cover the hit.

Sure but did you look at his buyout numbers for 8yrs?

Gotta have a lot more in mind than just buying him out. It would be a rebuild for sure. Eff FA if that’s the plan.

Bo might get some better wingers while the Canucks remain mediocre and they will get to pick all those soft skilled wingers
