I didn't think it needed to be explained.

Would be a big win…

Bo for 1 top prospect C/RHD & a 1st. About what it seems is fair.
Save lots on cap but weak at C.
Gotta start somewhere.
Buyout Pearson is more cap.
Hoping a cheap McDonough is a 3C.
Still gotta unload a winger Garland.
Trade Myers after his bonus is paid.

Going to be rough 2023 but I don’t see BB is back to see it. It doesn’t really matter til changes happen for real. We all know this.

- Nighthawk

Trading out Garland gets them space for Kuzmenko. Trading BB gets them space for Bo. It’s just what it is in flat cap. Myers might have value at this TDL but the next one for sure.

JR has 2 months to the TDL, they're currently the 7th worst team in the NHL.

Are they buying or selling?

- VanHockeyGuy

After the next road trip nose dive there should be no doubt. However can they find willing parters to sell to with the flat cap. Might be a TDL squeeze to work.

Lol that term again lol. That’s a funny way of saying impossible. So Garland & BB are trash and can’t be traded...? Lol no worries.

It’s been said & it’s a no brainer they are sellers. The flat cap has everything to do with lack of trades. The TDL will be very boring imo.

It’s not boring if you have cap space to use

Canuck fans need some good news after all the issues and internal squabbles.

The Rangers seem to know and like JTM and tried to get him. So now that he’s locked in maybe it works better for them. But it’s still risky for Canucks as Laf could be a bust.

- Quinn's Quest

Bust maybe, but save 8m per for the next 7 years...SOLD!

Capspace is overrated, you are better off blowing your load on free agent wingers, like Mikheyev.

How fast things can change. Now Bo is the hero and JTM the bum. Now we are saving by trading.

Lol crazy stuff contracts and performance. There should be a new CBA. One allowing for termination. Like after a season of falling well below performance terms.

Never said JTM is a bum. He is a good player, makes a lot of miscues though. Just the wrong time in the teams evolution and make up to be giving out a contract like that.

There has to 5-6 American Teams that would take Miller. JR and PA need to work it.

But, if the return for Bo is potentially way better to you do it?

- LordHumungous

Trade both, build the team from the d out as they should have ten years ago.

If we trade two of the NHL’s best top 9 wingers for cap space, in order to sign other (existing) members of the best top 9 who steps in to replace the outgoing wingers? Karlsson? Höglander? Di Giuseppe?

Superfluous to our needs. Plus he's one of the worst defensive forwards on the team. Gets caught in transition constantly with poor decisions and laziness. He needs to be propped up by guys that aren't afraid to bust their asses to prevent scoring chances against. So yeah, he's playing like a bum. Cut the cord.

Doesn’t sound like much of an upgrade. Everything else stays the same and the $11m from Garland/Boeser gets spent on Horvat/Kuzmenko.
