I meant that two people half way across the world would post the same thing, on the same hockey blog but…

Nah. He’s blaming the women for the state of the team. No one I recall liked the Doerrie hire. It’s JR that is responsible for all of this team's situation. He got lucky in Pitt. He’s never been good and never will be. It was a backward move to hire him. That’s on FA.
- TurdFergeson

FA went to the Bettman and crew and asked for help in finding a Pres/GM that could sort out the mess. It was the NHL who suggested JR and also suggested the hiring of women into prominent management positions to help with the NHL’s image problem of only old white men in prominent positions.

The Canucks are a mess at the top level like they have always been since day one.

Like their player development, their management development process has been horrible, unless you consider the people who have left to have success elsewhere. Because of this they are left with the choice of taking a chance on a ‘rising star’ with no experience or a washed up exec who’s been fired (multiple times). They’ve gone rising star over and over and it’s not working (yet).

The nhl is an old boys club. They all are awful at their jobs. They still make money hand over fist because sheep throw away thousands of dollars every year to watch a crappy product. There isn’t a good Gm in the league. Just some who make less mistakes than others.

I agree somewhat, but human resourcing is a difficult and crappy job and that’s essentially what any pro-sports team does. As a PM I have to bring people together to get a project done. I put together a team and think “this group will kick ass” only to be proven wrong by lack of success, in-fighting, or worse. Sometimes the group you have the least amount of confidence in succeeds the most. It’s a mystery.

Humans suck.

A coach that understands todays game, getting a lot of the kids at that level. Hopefully he can get them to be successful at the next level in the near future.

The hustle on Jett Woo here.

Just tried tankathon we won 2oa.
Who do you take?

I don’t get good vibes for Fantilli.
Carlson next up but same as above.
Michkov doesn’t fit needs.

So guess what my fave trade down to 6th maybe 7th. Smith Yager or Wood.

BPA Michkov

Saying this team doesn't need more/better talent is pretty dumb... no offence.

Why give up someone who could be a first line player for someone who might be a 2nd line player?

The add would have to be insane.

Yes the add is key or who we can unload. Not sold 1st line talent isn’t further down the draft.

If you win the first overall would you trade the pick, plus OEL for 2nd overall?

Figuring out Miller's future should be 2nd after getting a great haul for Horvat.

Got to figure out whether Miller will ever be a decent top 6 NHL center or whether he will complain about being forced to play as a winger.

If he does want to be a center, hopefully getting him a Mark Stone and Mitch Marner type wingers.
