Apparently Miller was asked about his outburst after the game…

Not a surprising response from a spoiled problem child with zero accountability.

You can hear in his voice that he doesn’t actually believe what he’s saying, but what’s he supposed to do, admit it was a douche move?

As I read this I was watching a clip of Boudreau defending him.
At least we know he's gone by the end of the season.

I saw the same thing “it’s my fault, I should have signaled to the goalie to come out of the net while it was still in our end and where it looked like Miller would turn it over any second.”

I just watched the last period of Pens/Devils. I can’t believe Jarry didn’t leave the net until the puck was all the way up ice at the attacking blue line.

From Duhatscheck at the Athletic (so no sources, just a wish list trade idea), but I would love it:

2. Alexis Lafrenière to the Vancouver Canucks

See Byfield’s issues. Lafrenière probably arrived in the NHL too soon. There needs to be a better way for prospects who’ve outgrown junior hockey to take the next step in their evolution without being thrown into the deep end of the NHL pool, where you’re swimming with physically mature men.

It’s probably too easy to draw a direct line to Vancouver, where Lafrenière’s former agent, Émilie Castonguay, is part of the Canucks’ front office. But if there’s ever a place where Lafrenière’s confidence could be restored, especially as long as Bruce Boudreau remains coach, Vancouver looks like it. And wasn’t J.T. Miller supposed to land in New York last year anyway? Salary retention, as always, would be a stumbling block.

It’s been talked about here and in media. At this point any sell moves are welcome. Sad if it’s just a straight up trade with retention. Especially since Rangers are getting more than a rental. They were prepared to give more for JTM. He’s an established point producer. Canucks getting broken potential. Seems lopsided.

I'd do it for Laf with like 1.2 retained on JTM bringing him to a 6.8 cap hit.

You're getting a younger, controlled player and cap space. Well worth it. Doubt NYR do it/can afford it.

Would definitely signal a different direction for the team.
They really miss Strome, Miller could fill that void. I’m sure the Rangers would find a way to make it work if they’re in a position to make a run.

Taking on a project for an established player is a tough go right now in the WC hunt. Seems like NYR is still sniffing around Miller however but dumping LAF this early tells us he may be a bust on his way out. If you are actually going to move Miller to NYR demand a solid RHD or don't make the deal at this point.

Miller should be a healthy scratch tonight. No press box, put him in the stands with the fans. I'm buying tickets for the pumpkin patch bullies.

Biggest game of the year. They’ll either start 2023 as a team, one game over .500 on the rise, or as a train wreck one game below .500. No middle ground.
