Haven't been the same without the energy of Motte-Higmore-Lammiko effect.

German?
I told you Lazar sucks, nice guy but not very bright.

He is the coaches pet, which is a big problem.

As far as I am concerned, Bruce has been worse for this team, than the guy he replaced.

Small sample size with Boudreau compared to Green's time here. Need to see Boudreau in the PO picture here too to compare fully.

Yeah had hopes for Lazar as he came from the Boston culture but the country-club here has ahold of him now.

He’s pretty much played the same way here as he did in Boston. It’s just that the team around him is very different

He’s a physical forecheck guy who hustles in all 3 zones but not some shutdown line player or poop disturber and has limited puck skills.

He’s out of place in a top 9 but he’s fine for 4th line

Also true. Expectations in BOS were different however and I see that in his game transition to Van. My take. The injury didn't help matters either.

Really?

They finished in the middle last year and are back in the middle now with new faces. I see it as shuffling deck chairs.

Not trying to be a smart ass but to me it just looks like a continuation of years past only new faces.

I do think the 4th line was better last year but I agree, big picture over a full season the 4th line being different doesn’t mean poop.

Same core, same results. Rinse and repeat.

No doubt he works hard but he’s a little short on hockey sense. Best remembered for the playoff run in Ottawa when the the fans were throwing MacDonald burgers on the ice, celebrating the Hamburglers great playoff, Lazar picks one up off the ice and eats it.

alpha move

Most 1st rounders who get drafted as scorers and can’t produce in the nhl aren’t smart/aware enough to change their games. He’s embraced his role as an energy guy and stuck around so I give him credit for that

Our 4th line has had 'moments' this year but nothing in the way we had with Motte on that line. Thing that irks me about Motte is we spent 4 seasons with him and got him where we needed him to be and let him go as he deserved a small raise. Canuck way I guess lol

Let’s hope the fan washed his hands after using the urinal before throwing the burger.

Alpha move indeed.

His 3 goals this year are truly missed. Would have been a good replacement for that top 9 after 2 were sent to Abby.

I have mostly given up on trying to fix this team. I don't have the answers, so I sit back and see what is going on. Some things I like and some I don't like but if I was to guess I think it is time for big moves and not just tinkering (and I could be completely wrong with this thought also).

We have no idea how the players feel about each other or what goes on behind closed doors, but I think there are deep problems that need to be resolved. Just another day in Canuckville. Maybe one day things will be fixed.

yeah, I feel the same way. I used to have fun looking into the draft and coming up with trade ideas and free agent targets but now I've just learned to embrace the circus

Been following this tournament since it started in the 70's. I prefer watching this tournament over watching the Canucks. These kids play hard almost all the time, which is always nice to see.

Also, my boy Reinbacher is playing

I find myself spending more time following other teams young players/prospects, usually the ones that I liked.
Currently, CBJ, Anaheim, Detroit, Buffalo, Montreal and Chicago are teams that I am paying the most attention to.

Seems this is the way to survive as a Canuck fan. It’s a roller coaster of a direction this team keeps going around in circles.
