Don had said my boy, meaning Fanyilli, sucked, then he said so did Bedard. I agreed with him they sucked last game.

Don would also be doing back flips on a yacht if the Canucks drafted either of them

If Arizona gets him maybe we will get another Lindros situation, the only hope the Nucks have of getting him

Auto-correct.

I’ve been a Flyers fan since I was little. Watching them at nine years old winning Stanley Cup championships and seemingly going to the finals every other year until the late 80’s left a big impression on me. I will always and forever be a Flyers fan.

As a West Coast kid I’ve also cheered for the Canucks because they’re local and I was raised into it. I want them to be successful so bad but it’s becoming increasingly hard to continue cheering for them, but I do.

I fleetingly cheer for Seattle because I’m hopeful they can show what an idiot Francesco Aquilini is for an owner, so I hope they succeed, but I only pretend to be a fan. I follow the Coyotes because they’re local and I love that they’re rebuilding with a proper tear down, I hope they’re successful with it. But how could you actually be a fan of that shit-show?

Forever a Flyer…

Bedard setting up Matthews for his 70th of the season as the Coyotes beat the Canucks again.
- A_SteamingLombardi

Matthews leaving Toronto for home would be such poetic justice.

He said he’ll go wherever he’s drafted as it’s just such an honour to get drafted in the first place.

It's a really deceptive release. His ability to get lost in the play is top notch as well.

I would hope management are trying for the moon in trade talks regarding Bo and if not sign him and move out these underperformers that aren’t worth it but then again why would anyone want something that isn’t worth it lol

Looking at the schedule it’s gets tough after these 2 games, lots of top teams, I have no expectations just want to see an effort and make it entertaining.

Another long winded lecture that we've heard before. Thanks for your continued verbal diarrhea.

I’ve heard they have devoted significant resources to scouting team Russia at this tournament.

The Flyers of the late 70’s early 80’s were either hated or a favourite. There was no in between.
Bernie was my fav goalie at that time.

Most of the kids on here don't appreciate the greatness of the Flyers franchise during the 70's and 80's. Stanley Cup appearances in 74, 75, 76, 80, 85 & 87, they were so good! The 70's team had Bobby Clarke, who Wayne Gretzky modeled his game after, with his three league MVP Hart Trophies in 73, 75 & 76. As well as Bernie Parent with his two Vezina Trophies in 74 & 75 and Reggie Leach with his 60 goal season in 1976.

The 80's teams were less high-end talented but more structured and hard working teams, they had two great defencemen in Mark Howe and Brad McCrimmon though, not to mention the goaltending of Pelle Lindbergh and Ron Hextall. Both Vezina winners. The Flyers used to be synonymous with great goaltending back in those days, and then that disappeared for the next thirty years LOL.

You probably don't appreciate it either as you most likely were struggling financially and into major drugs back then, kinda like now.

It's not uncommon for folks who are reaching their end of days to fondly reflect on the past and the little things that brought them joy. I hope you won't be too much of a burden on your family on this final journey.
