Meh….he’s just ok. Definitely not worth what someone’s going to pay him.
- LeftCoaster

Disagree mostly. Getting a top 2C is always hard to do. He’ll fit in pretty seamlessly. It’ll come down to who gets him & there will be plenty of competition. He’s a PO performer & his value will justify getting him.

Whenever I see him being interviewed it continually surprises me what a large human being he is. Health and fitness is such a big part of what he’s accomplished. He should break Gretzky’s record easily.
- LeftCoaster

Similar to Putin being a good human, they are good friends. OV knows what’s going on and it isn’t what the western media is pushing.

Just watching the highlights on Bo Horvat's game winning goal, looks like he scored that 1 using a lacrosse style goal. Man he has a ton of undervalued skill. Shortly after he makes a beautiful pass to Mikheyev for the insurance goal.
The guy is a phenomenal player.

- Reubenkincade

He’s money on the right team we just don’t have the complete roster to appreciate him enough.

100% It's JR's job to maximize the return for Horvat, not like the Kesler fiasco.

He's in a poker game right now he can't afford to lose. Clock is running.

- VanHockeyGuy

It’ll come down to the return if traded. It’ll define Mgmt no doubt. Kesler has nothing to do with anything just you tossing it out there as if it has any relevance. You really oughta learn how to be a better shlt disturber you claim to be.

Clock isn’t running it’s media bs. If fans believe that they are beyond stupid. Poker game yes but JR has been to a few rodeos & don’t see them caving.

A huge blessing that Horvat has no trade protection…f**k him!
- LeftCoaster

I agree, it is good that none of the Canucks good players don't have any trade protection.
Hopefully Bo, JTM and Elias get a great return.

Good for Mgmt. It’ll make contract negotiations interesting. I prefer 8/7.5m tops. Bo needs to get paid but he’s not stupid knowing the cap is likely only going up 1m & he wants to win after years of crap.

There's no excuse JR shouldn't be able to maximize the return on Horvat as it stands right now.
- VanHockeyGuy

Finally I can agree WOW lol

The return for Pettersson and Horvat would be enormous! Franchise changing. But they won’t get rid of Pettersson, they’ve all but acknowledged that, he’s their cornerstone player.

Relevance is an example of a poor return. VAN doesn't exactly have a good record making trades since Linden got dealt to NYI.

Need to go 30-17-2 to get to 95 - the bubble (.633 pace would be 104pt full season)

For 3rd in the division, they probably need 101 pts, so 32-13-4 (.694 pace would be a 114pt full season)

- 1970vintage

Good numbers.

Still maintain the home record is a big hurdle to turn around. Next is division games are HUGE to max out points & avoiding loser points. The 0-5-2 start & horrible PK dug an early & severely deep hole.

Wouldn’t be surprised they do that. Especially if the team gets Demko back and goes on a heater leading to TDL. Then of course miss the playoff bar and no lotto win for Bedard either.
- Quinn's Quest

Demko will take time once back to find his ‘A’ game. Bedard is a dream. As below 10-15th.

As the team sits right now, I only watch because of those 2 and Schenn. Sad fact.
This team is so far away from being a contender, that Bo will already have been long retired and Pouty will be just starting to enjoy retirement.

Don’t be so sour all the time! Good things will come, just gotta believe! 🎅🏻
- LeftCoaster

Rah rah shish boom bah lol

Being the optimist I cannot say the D turns my crank. I still say 1 big D added can stabilize the roster. I’m fine with Hughes/Schenn. Getting 2nd pairing OEL a real partner is the task. Leaves the rest to fight it out for bottom pairing & create competition & depth. ???/Bear

It explains why contracts are what they are. Costs more to get no NTC’s. Part of what most fans don’t acknowledge when signings. Eg Miller.

Everyone knows Bedard won't be a Canuck.

It’s as far fetched as Canucks making the playoffs. But then again you never know lol.

Old history with a different Mgmt group is irrelevant. Anyone can cite another trade to fit a narrative. Let’s stick to the now & not worry about what cannot be changed in the past.

He’s gonna get the Canucks a massive haul at the TDL!

Just like trading Matt Duchene did for the Avs or Trading Joe Thornton from the Bruins.

Can't lose when you cheer for both teams eh?

Disgusting.

Honestly the Oil looked dis-interested last night.

Is what it is good to see the boys hanging in the WC race it's gonna be tight.

More like a poorly built team with sieves in goal. 9.25 for Nurse oof. After the big 2 they’d be in the Bedard sweepstakes if missing 1.

Oil made short work of Dallas the other night one of the best clubs in the west. Oil have a few inconsistencies like Van but no panic. Oil will be in the PO's and lethal.
