After the holiday break, the Canucks have a game against the Sharks, then 11 straight games of solid hockey teams, then another game against the Oilers.
Should know the direction the team is going to take by January 20th.

- Reubenkincade

We can only hope management convinces Aqua that they're heading nowhere, and they need to sell sell sell... no matter what their record is over those 11 games.

What the hell, no guzzlers in here tonight?
Lefty, Nucker and Neem are pretty quiet for some reason.

Clearly the team has put it together for the playoff push. I just hope Horvat keeps on putting up the points and keeps that little rat Rutherford under pressure.

Solid effort vs a very good Oiler club. Our top 3 centres rolling. 5 points Pettersson the other night and Horvat says 'hold my beer'...

Love it.

Can't lose when you cheer for both teams eh?

Disgusting.

Meh….he’s just ok. Definitely not worth what someone’s going to pay him.

Just watching the highlights on Bo Horvat's game winning goal, looks like he scored that 1 using a lacrosse style goal. Man he has a ton of undervalued skill. Shortly after he makes a beautiful pass to Mikheyev for the insurance goal.
The guy is a phenomenal player.

100% It's JR's job to maximize the return for Horvat, not like the Kesler fiasco.

He's in a poker game right now he can't afford to lose. Clock is running.

Sadly, it will end up being Vancouver. The negative image of trading him will force them to pony up an 8 x $8.75m deal. 3 years away from being 8 years away.

There's no excuse JR shouldn't be able to maximize the return on Horvat as it stands right now.

Need to go 30-17-2 to get to 95 - the bubble (.633 pace would be 104pt full season)

For 3rd in the division, they probably need 101 pts, so 32-13-4 (.694 pace would be a 114pt full season)

Wouldn’t be surprised they do that. Especially if the team gets Demko back and goes on a heater leading to TDL. Then of course miss the playoff bar and no lotto win for Bedard either.

Good info. Acid test time aka can they find consistency or this roller coaster continues. No matter which it’s a long road to make the PO’s & the new regime needs to put their stamp on this team. By all the noise we hear one has to bet change(s) are coming. Imo other changes are holding up a final decision on Bo. Cap space is a priority & what moves help flexibility are 1st up. As the TDL nears closer it’ll force JR/PA into decision time on big moves.

He will be in 20 years, when he’s signing 1 year deals chasing a cup, after a decade losing in Arizona and cashing in big as a UFA in Toronto or New York.

Have to believe Mgmt has autonomy. If not then Bo resigns forcing Mgmt to cave. Focus goes onto other moves. I’d like to believe FA let’s Mgmt do as they see fit but til we see something big happen that’s not the case.

The Oilers just took the night off honestly, they still played bad, they just were up against an Oilers team that was looking forwards to the Christmas break and wasn't playing their A game and yes, Delia got hot.

Canucks looked like they were on Christmas break in the first 10 minutes, those are excuses lol

The big fish yes. Still hoping another big move happens 1st. Want to see unravelling in that nature to support the core players. Bo’s value won’t diminish as many teams are already interested in a 2C of his stature & closer it gets to the TDL to less hit to the cap.
