Oilers rely on McDrai to carry them every game, just terrible depth.

What the hell, no guzzlers in here tonight?
Lefty, Nucker and Neem are pretty quiet for some reason.

Iā€™ve been shutting on the lack in of d for quite a while, I just donā€™t complain about players that are good.

Last two games have been fun to watch even though I only seen the last 18 minutes last night. The two games before that not so much fun.

Bo gets a 4 point night, including scoring the Game winning goal, nary a word from the guzzlers, I guess he needed to get 1 more point to get 5 in order to get pages and pages about how good he is.
Oh well, probably best that he is moved on from Canucks, as the fans and media here in Canuckland don't show any respect to players who aren't shiny, although the coach knows who his best players are and plays them the most.
Usually it is Bo or Miller, then Pouty with the most time on ice, as the season avg. Time on ice verify this.
With the Canucks now on a 2 game heater, it will delay any chance of this team doing the right thing and moving players out and starting to acquire what is needed to become something other than a middle of the pack team.

Merry Christmas everyone.

BTW, we miss you Carol.

On another note, Congratulations to Ovechkin on passing Gordie Howe last night. Hopefully he gets another 100 goals.

Is there a problem with that?

Rubey's guy Mikheyev just netted one. Garland looked good so far. Rubey in shambles

Solid effort vs a very good Oiler club. Our top 3 centres rolling. 5 points Pettersson the other night and Horvat says 'hold my beer'...

Love it.

I missed the game last night, not that interested unless itā€™s to watch Petterssonā€™s greatness lol!

Itā€™s the holiday season, we had our hockey Christmas party last night, Iā€™m sure it was a lot more fun than watching the Oilers vs Canucks.

I hope they finish just outside the playoffs and pick 15th, but Pettersson gets 90+ points and he costs them 10+ million dollars a year.

It's remarkable what OV is doing in this era of big goalies and high save %. If you look at the games missed from Bettman's lockouts or the 'covid' thingy...he'd be there already. Crazy.

Horvat on pace for 60 goals, after a 31 goal season, a 19 goal shortened season, and 4 20+ goal seasons. The guy is going to get paid.

Too bad he isn't shiny or he would get paid an extra 2 million, just for being shiny, so, sorry Bo, you may get 1LC minutes, score goals like a top power forward, but you are barely a 2LC, you should get paid less than Brock, which is a reasonable offer.

Watching one of the networks highlights and they talked about his durability, hasn't played less than 72 games in a season, or something like that.
Guy has been an incredible player and by all accounts an even better person.

Pretty classy of the Jets players last night, when they all went over to shake his hand, after the game.

Whenever I see him being interviewed it continually surprises me what a large human being he is. Health and fitness is such a big part of what heā€™s accomplished. He should break Gretzkyā€™s record easily.

In the short term, yes, long term is what needs to be the focus though.

A couple weeks ago, there was an jnterview with one of the better defenseman in the league, Pietrangelo I think, who said he is the most intimidating player he has ever faced, as he can absolutely bowl anybody over.
The man is a beast of a human at 6'3 and 235 lbs, who is obviously an awesome goalscorer and by all accounts an excellent leader.

Any move that improves the team long term should be made.

Whatā€™s sad is the dizziness of how brilliant and awful this team can be during a game let alone the same week.

After the holiday break, the Canucks have a game against the Sharks, then 11 straight games of solid hockey teams, then another game against the Oilers.
Should know the direction the team is going to take by January 20th.
