Offhand I can't think of a better game I seen Petey play. I was actually pulling for the team last night just because of his effort. Was also nice to see the team rush out to congradulate him at the end of the shootout. It was also against the Kraken whom I really don't care for

- VANTEL

He’s definitely maturing into a much better all-around player, and probably person, as his Canucks tenure moves along. The problem is, he’ll keep the team just competitive enough to not allow them to finish near the bottom.

Realistically though, you don’t have to have the first overall pick to build a great team. You have to have a good quantity of picks and make them count as you build depth and talent within your organization.

Sounds good. Vegas not shy about making big moves. As long as he doesn't end up in Toronto.

No fan of a inter-division trade. Sorry

Bo for Niemela/Minten/1st/2024 2nd
Schenn for 2nd
Garland for Fabbro or similar

Buyout Pearson this offseason & resign Bo & Kuz & Schenn. Trade Myers retain 2m.

It starts with a big win tonight against the highly overrated Oilers.

The sad reality is, Elias Pettersson just turned 24 last month and the team probably will continue to be in the dumpster for the next three to five years which puts him into UFA status. If they would’ve started rebuilding six years ago we probably have a EP40 and Jared McCann as their #1 & #2 centers and then get a good haul for Horvat, but no.

Such is life as a Canucks fan, the continual cycle of nothingness will most likely go on for another 50+ years. ……………..

Unearth a RHD past the 1st or find a Robertson or Kaprizov (5th) somehow changes everything.

I laughed last night at some of the posters here. God Damn Petey stunk for the first half of last year and deserved criticism. His attitude was a lot different also of how he was treating things.

My question is where were these posters on the other fifty games that he did nothing.
I know I did not like his first forty games last year at all, but I still knew he was not going anywhere.

Petey had a night and a half last night and He raised the play of the entire team. It was finally a fun game to watch but let's not lose sight that this team currently sucks.

I can be pissed if he has a bad game, but I am also one of the four or five people that thought he was the franchise player and should have been captain instead of Bo. It is ridiculous for posters to call out fans who criticized Petey for his bad play in the first forty games last year when he fully deserved it.

Hughes is a hell of a player, but I would trade him without even hesitating. Fans can like and dislike different things about players, it has been that way as far back as I can remember and have every right to say whatever they want without some poster showing up online after every thirty games to lecture them.

The moron doesn’t realize there’s no prize for sneaking into the playoffs. It actually exacerbates the continual cycle of mediocrity. It’s meaningless. The top three teams in each conference win over 95+% of the Cups.

Good for McCann but it does not mean it would have had the same results.

There are some deep issues with the Canucks and that is the part they still haven't figured out.

The had a few young players that could not fit into this system like McCann Hodgson Tryamkin Jake. I keep thinking back to the term Country Club.

I remember once Bieksa saying we don't need a coach to tell us what to do we are a mature group and already know. That kind of thinking has been passed down to today's group and that is why you are hearing new players call out other players about having too much fun.

Just my opinion but they need to break it up and shake it up.

If picking 10 to 12 then this entire Mgmt deserves to be fired. The middle is truly the worst place to be in a draft.
- VANTEL

10-15 QA draft seed. I wouldn't worry too much about the position more like the BPA Swede Allvin takes.
