Yup.

I expected better out of double the amount of people doing the same as the last two that were overwhelmed.

At this point why pay to get rid of anyone losing draft pics or buyouts unless a player is being held back because of.... makes no sense... gonna have to wait it out or trade for low returns if possible for the unmovable cap hits. (Boeser, OEL, Pearson) neg value. (JTM, Myers, Garland) Low value. At least my opinion

At least that is what they should do to rebuild. Gain as many draft pics as possible and trade off expiring contracts if not being resigned.

I expected more of the same and said I would pass judgement by the draft, which gave them a TDL and leading up to the draft to start fixing this problem.
The only thing they have done, that I have been on-board with, was hiring Emilie.

I'd take highest value. Not every trade is going to fill every need as some seem to make them out to be.

Highest value should beat Lysell + 1st + spare parts

Agree with all, but not sure they should be re-signing anyone, at least not for 2 or 3 seasons.

As much as I would like to see Bo in Boston, they aren't the team to trade with, not for Bo anyways.

Pettersson for example of possible re-sign... Or other younger plays that may fit teams rebuild. But I do agree players that don't fit rebuild should not be re-signed.

anyone who's going to be declining within the next 3 years should be moved or just wait out their contracts to expire if teams don't want them

By the time this team is ready to compete, Pouty will be in his 30s, but, he is acceptable as a player not to move just yet, unless the offer is to hard to pass up.
Everyone else has to be on the block.

I think NJ should look at Schenn and Timo Meier if they want to get bigger and tougher to play against.

I think Tampa would like Schenn back as well, he knows their system and they know firsthand how valuable he is on and off the ice as a depth dman.

Boeser, Garland, Horvat, PEarson, Myers, OEL, Schenn, Dermott, Burroughs, Martin I would get rid of and start from there.

I would be okay with that, at least until he starts being inconsistent with his effort again.
Also, I edited it and added the 2023 1st round picks.

OEL not movable. Not sure if Martin/Burroughs hold any trade value so might as well keep them as likeable depth guys. Dermott I'm not sure holds value after that serious concussion and being waiver eligible as a fringe dman.

Pearson/Myers/Boeser/Garland I'm not sure hold much value right now, with their contracts

It's basically Horvat and Schenn from that list that would get back decent returns without having to take back cap dumps.

Canucks don't have a single dman who makes every dman he plays with better. They used to have a few with prime Hamhuis/Salo/Tanev but now they have none. It takes a specific type of player to play with Hughes, you can't just plug and play anyone like you could with those other 3 guys I mentioned. And the rest of the dmen can't carry a pairing either.

I've watched 2 periods of the Tor- Phi game.

Matthews on ice doing nothing. Marner playing great.

Nylander and Tage Thompson reasons why you don't give up on players too early.
