Go Flyers
- Reubenkincade

I haven’t watched a Leaf game this year, be interesting to see if they’re as good as their record. Flyers are in the same situation as the Canucks, they need to sell and start acquiring draft picks.

Tippett, Farabee, Frost, Cates, Allison, York and Hart all under the age of 25 but they’ve gotta get some higher end talent on that team around those plugs.

Lou Korac: Wonder if the St. Louis Blues would be interested in Brayden Schenn‘s brother Luke if Vancouver Canucks look to move him. Luke physicality on the blue line would be a nice add.
- Reubenkincade

I doubt Luke Schenn helps them make the playoffs but I'll take their first round pick top 10 protected and hopefully pick 11th

I think the Flyers need to upgrade on Hayes. Hayes for JTM works for me.😊

NJ needs some truculence in their lineup, Miller and Schenn would be nice fits in that regard.

Hayes is a lazy sloth, if you think Quinn Hughes is bad defensively your arm would fall off throwing the foam brick at Hayes continually.

Devils may have lost Graves last game, so they will need someone to replace him, if the injury is as bad as it looked.

Ya, but he only has 3 years left on his bloated contract. Expires on the back half of being 3 years away from being 3 years away.

I wouldn't be playing Schenn or Hamilton-Severson-Marino

Hurricanes could sure use him though ahead of Chatfield and Coughlan.

Seattle has 3-2nd round picks. I'd take 2 of those off their hands for Schenn.

Only 7 points back of the WC a win tonight and vs EDM tomorrow gets us right back in the hunt.

Patience.

Give them Myers… literally give him to them. I don’t care if we don’t get anything back.

I am not as concerned about getting rid of Myers yet, as he has another year on his contract and is good for the rebuild/poor play.
By all means, if he can fetch something you do it, but this team is several years away.
I understand, he is hard to watch, like all of this roster.

even if a full teardown occurred at this point and we finished bottom 5 what would be the Bedard odds? 10%? 20%?

Then you have the Bettman-factor in the lottery but hey trust the math and science right lol?

I’m not a fan of the cold cold but I love what’s happening in Victoria BC right now with the snow, I wish I was there. Snow and Christmas go hand in hand. I miss home!

10000% yeah you do.

A 2nd and a B defensive prospect is fine with me. Something like what Colorado paid for Manson last year.

I just hope if Petey is out for a while that they deal Bo soon. Only 35% of this season is done… we can make up 10 points on Chicago. But we most likely have to get rid of Bo and Kuz…

As I said in one of the posts yesterday key words were "hope" and "belief". They also contradict what JR said the other day about making hockey trades and trying to remain competitive.

I'm glad they got Hogz and Podz away from the poop and let them play some fun hockey for a while. See Podz been playing all situations and even taking face-off's in the AHL.

- manvanfan

I’ve gotta believe hockey trades are still needed. Cannot gain only picks & prospects. Still though a blend is good if we can make enough trades to change the chemistry for now & restock the pipeline.

I too am glad to see Pod & Hog in Abby. It’s a good change they & Abby need. With this season so inconsistent insulating & developing them is best.

I still maintain lines need dynamic duos with good 3rd wheels to make it all gel. The mix isn’t there to do it imo. Each line needs to have 2 good 200’ F’s a playmaker & sniper. The more a F can double or triple up on those facets the closer we will get to being good. Each top 3 lines needs at least 1 play driver.

My assessment on the above…

Play drivers:
Petey
Miller

Playmakers:
Petey
Miller
Kuzmenko

Snipers:
Petey
Miller
Bo
Kuzmenko

Boeser is neither til he finds his groove & has a steady playmaker. So he falls into the 3rd wheel category & specialist needing 2 linemates to carry the load.
Garland is a tweener not really standing out at anything. A water bug out there but doesn’t achieve much.

3rd wheels:
Miky

Pod still needs seasoning but has the tools to be one.
Hog still looking to define what he is.

Overall F’s lack tenacity & puck retrieval & puck battling on a steady basis. Only the 4th line shows these skills & work ethic.

Just my quick rough thoughts.

Edmonton doesn’t have games in hand, they played them already. Vancouver has games in hand. Just need to go 4-0-1 before the new year.

You are never catching Chicago. I watched them play twice now. Kane and Toews just waiting till they are traded and once that happens, you could insert the Canucks bottom 6 as their top 6.

They made sure that they were picking top 3 in this draft before the season started.

I don't think Anaheim intentionally planned to be as bad as they are but they are going to give Chicago a serious run for worst team in history this year.
