I’m always unsure about hiring coaches/GM’s who do well with team Canada.

Their job is basically to not screw it up since the teams are always stacked.

Bob Nicholson - Edmonton Oilers

I’d be more curious about how Williams is as a coach in his normal league

- Nucker101

I think that comment about the coach, might have gone over your head.

Clarke and Wright were barely in an NHL lineup, so not sure that is considered lucky.

Like no one knew, at least it's on record now. What a pathetic team, in every sense.

They’re gonna rip it up, Canada is really strong this year!
- LeftCoaster

USA looked pretty good today. No Russia will throw a ripple in. Sweden's a bunch of perimeter softies, although Carlsson was good. He isn't going to take over the same way Bedard is.

Some in here mention good players (or coaches in this case) once in a while that aren't Canadian and Ruby believes only Canadians can play hockey.

I will explain it to you, a comment was made, a few pages back, about how the US coach has the team looking good, he should be considered as a future coach in the nhl(paraphrasing), so I thought I would say the same about the Canadian coach, noting that it is exhibitio , so who really cares how well they play right now.

I took it as him liking the team Canada head coach so I just chimed in that even guys Willie Willie Desjardins can win with stacked junior teams. NHL is way more of a level playing field.

Doesn’t mean that team Canada can’t have great coaching, I just don’t think there’s much you can take from their records as head coach of team Canada.

Edit: nvm he was taking a shot at you

Mikael Granlund goes in short handed, shots from top of the left face off dot and misses the net by probably 10 foot high, 10 feet wide. The puck went out of play.

That was so bad

You see, this is where you are wrong again, I make many comments about players from different countries, if I recall correctly, I talked quite a bit about Semec and Jiricek several times for about 2 years before they got drafted and claimed they were top 5 talent.
Pretty sure I just mentioned Dalibor Dvorsky.
Unlike you, who usually posts about some Swede or Finn who plays in some obscure tier 2 league.

Canada supplies about 40%of nhl players, so ya, I will have more Canadians when I bring up players, it is pretty easy and basic analytics, you should be able to figure that out.

Maybe it's a Nashville thing. Trenin just went in on a breakaway and from 1 foot from the blue paint, he probably missed by 5 feet. The commentators even laughed and said "that wasn't even close"

I go out and brave the cold in the garage to get high and then come in and read that the Canucks might have made a decision that I could be up for and you have to post this? thanks for smearing shit all over my rose colored glasses.

An interesting comment that has come up at least twice this week, today by Gord Miller and Craig Button( I know lol) but they both made comment about how in the scouting world, the bigger players are being sought after and the little skill guy, unless ultra talented, aren't so sought after.
They went on to say that the speed skill of these bigger guys can't be overlooked, including the small skilled defenseman.(again paraphrasing)

It's funny that you say that, but every easterner comes out here and says the coastal cold cuts through you, nothing like ocean air super cold with arctic winds

Always fun when you warn them about it and then don't listen to you and complain about it.
