Makes no sense for Montreal since they’re still far away from contention but Detroit I could see
- Nucker101

Would be nice if we got a few picks. I am sure our VP of scouting Granato already is focused in on who our next great prospect will be.

They look awful without Pettersson. It looked like an AHL team vs a poopty NHL team.
- LeftCoaster

Your hard-on for Petterson is amazing, they look like poop with him in the lineup as well, whi h will happen when you only have 2 good players, Bo and Pouty.
It was funny how St. Louis basically double teamed Bo on the PP last night and dared Quinn, Miller or Brock to do something.
Sad state of affairs when you can't afford to pay one of your top 2 players, because you have overpaid 9 other players, not that it really matters, other than how hard it will be to dump those contracts.

Disagree. I think Habs are further along than you might think, but then again, you were giddy about Schmidt and Garland amongst others. :

Ferraro will recommend more small scoring wingers

Yes Bo is a real hero during his contract year. Good for him. Agreed that building a team around Quinn and Pouty is absurd. They should both be gone. Build around Schenn and Arseneau

Strip the team to the studs and change the culture. Dress a bunch of goons so at least while we are getting pumped other teams do not like coming to Van

They really need a goalie. Their defense is still very raw. Not sold on their top 6 as a whole yet either but Suzuki is damn good and the midget winger can score.

MSL seems like a good coach so far.

As I said earlier, the Canucks are the punchline of the NHL.

I'm sure Rutherford is desperately trying to get out of town for the X-Mas break. Hopefully he has a change of heart and resigns.

He's captain hindsight/obvious anyway, a lot of people don't remember that he was one of the last people who realized the Canucks were good back when they were actually good and the guy was living in Vancouver

Preaching to the choir.

Knew when they hired 3 females in a month it was a publicity stunt. Nothing wrong with hiring the right personnel no matter what sex they are but two of those hirings were to shut up the negativity surrounding the team.

Bo has been pretty consistent throughout his career, getting better every year, plus he was pretty hot last season as well.
Also, I have stated many times, ad nauseum, over the past few seasons, that this is a bad mix of players and they need to make some serious changes, you on the other hand were slurping with Nucker, and a few others, about how Garland is a legit top 6, while I argue that he is a 3rd liner.

Pretty sure they have high hopes for Primeau, the top 6 needs another centre, for sure. They still have a fair amount of prospects, from Bergevin acquiring many 2nd picks over the years. Bo with Dach would be a nice top 6 with Suzuki and Caufield.
There defense is going to be an envy, for us Canuck fans.
