I see the Americans have rubbed on to you their perfect English.

That is a load of shit, have a look at the attendance of Florida,New Jersey and LA, to name 3
- Reubenkincade

Playoff time they’re always sold out. Unlike most Canadian markets except Toronto there’s always way more competition for fans money in American cities. Most Canadians cities are one trick pony towns and it’s cold AF.

Last time a draft plus 2 CHL defender was drafted top 3 rounds in the NHL draft was when?

I'm curious to know as well, but not enough to bother looking it up

I'd like him more if you didn't like him

But then in 3 years you would be saying how we should trade for him.😁

Quickly of current NHLer's there are a few 20 year olds that have been drafted out of college. They are all kind of poop except for Matt Roy.

None were drafted before the 4th round.

Americans support a winning team in most major sports leagues. If all this drafting pays off for the Yotes they’re gonna have a heckuva club at some point. When/if they do, people will support them. Unlike Canadian markets you where you get 18,000 people to a crap team 41 games a year, America only cheers for winners.
- Pacificgem

So American fans are fair weather, and you're banking on some lottery picks to turn around this historically poopty franchise so that people will maybe come watch them in 5-7 years because they have an unsatiated desire for hockey instead of the baseball, basketball, football, and golf they've grown accustomed to. So glad they keep them there, instead of you know some other place that would actually support a team through ups and downs

Lefty complains about cap problems etc and eliminating the cap, which I agree with, but not sure he is smart enough to realize that it is teams like Arizona, Florida and New Jersey that keep the cap down, because of terrible attendance numbers over the years.

I’m not banking on anything, the coyotes organization is. And yes, Americans are absolutely 100% fair-weather fans. They don’t grow up passionate about hockey like Canadians do.

Like I said, his stock is rising rapidly. I expect him to be listed as a 2nd-3rd rounder once the mainstream lists catch up and up to early 2nd territory by Junes if he keeps improving.

That article was 9 games into the OHL season.

Either way, I'd love to nab him in the draft(whichever round makes sense)

There is a reason they are undrafted in their final year of eligibility. Not that they don't have potential, just that they hadn't shown it enough leading up to that year. If the last 2 years someone though he would even have the potential to be as good as he is today, they would have used a 7th rounder on him. He likely is available in the 4th and/or later rounds.

I’ve said many times they should contract the league with the elimination of those teams. But that’s not reality, they won’t do that.

Not a defenseman, but still a player drafted overage, in 3rd round, just last season.
He wasn't the only one outside of his draft year, taken in the 3rd round.
But hey, it was Tampa wtf do they know about drafting.

He is a guy on twitter that has a trade proposal every hour. You can set your watch to his proposals if you want accurate time.

He is not a bad dude just a lot of proposals.

Maybe they are not that dumb. If they get Beddard and Matthews, along with all the first-round picks they had this year and 38 mil in cap space, that could be a quick turnaround in the next 3 years.

I don’t really care if Arizona has a team or if Florida has a team. I’ve never been to watch Florida or New Jersey and I’ve never paid for an Arizona coyotes ticket. Even when I was back home I stopped going to games because of the poop product.
