We're all good, Martin doesn't get shutouts, check, Canucks get 3-4 goals a game, no worries, the jets/Nucks average 6 goals a game over last 6 meetings.

Well that average stuck.

By all accounts, it's going to be small and very much "stay competitive"

From what I have read, and heard, there’s no cap room available from buying teams. At this point in the season, to do major trades, is not possible to make a good deal.

Canucks are stuck in this loop. But yes there isn’t a firm commitment to tear it down yet. Even in the off season they may repeat the last one.

From what I've read, the Canucks are looking at making hockey trades, not futures trades.. so no rebuild, just a shuffling of the deck chairs.

Yes there is that too. They prefer young players under 25 back not draft picks. PA said it again in his interview on after hours. It was a sparse info revealing one but that was the consistent message.

Then again those picks from contending teams aren’t so attractive. If they commit to a draft rebuild then the whole team needs to be traded out.

“During 32 Thoughts segment on Hockey Night in Canada, Friedman reported that the Canucks’ front office is “not interested in a rebuild or a teardown, but they are interested in changing their mix and breathing some new life into the team.”

Friedman further comments on Horvat that Canucks don’t want to exceed $8M x 7. So they offered that and he said no? Ouch.

- Ek doesn’t have anyone on trade radar from Canucks this thread will hit 200 pages and nothing will change not even a new blogger.

Should be good for a laugh, when Chicago trades Jason Dickinson for a 2nd rounder.

I was at the game last night. A few fans in my section (101) were trying to get the “sell the team” chant going mid way through the 3rd period. Unfortunately, it didn’t catch on because most people had left the building by then.

I didn't bother. After 8 or more years of excuses and 'trying to stay competitive', I've had enough. This team is a total disgrace from the owner all the way down to the 3rd string goaltender. Fucking embarrassing!

I am starting to agree with you guys, that Mikheyev was an awesome signing, love watching him blow past opposition players, regularly.
Can't believe they got him for only 4.75 million, guy should be getting closer to 7 million per.

Hey, it was a b-day gift for my wife that she requested. Can’t say no. Plus I hadn’t been in a crowd like that since Covid started so it was fun regardless of the score.

But I’ll say this about the game, you can’t really appreciate how bad the Canucks are until you see them live.

Just watched a bit of Allvin on After Hours, he is as hard to listen to , as his team is to watch.
- Reubenkincade

He just talked in circles and pretty much avoids all questions. It’s clear they have no plans for a rebuild but simply to shuffle the deck chairs. The issue with that is, for every Tage Thompson there’s fifty Nick Bonino’s or Linden Vey’s.

Finding a diamond in the rough is really difficult, not to mention, the Sabres traded a really good player in Ryan O’Reilly to acquire Tage Thompson, a first round pick. Who are the Canucks going to trade to get a first round pick kid that someone’s willing to give up on if they only want to re-tool?

Just watched it as well, what a joke, clearly he's been coached by PR to hand out the fluff to the slurpers.

I really hope they pay the price for their smug way of doing business. Someone should have asked Allvin if he was aware national media and his peers are laughing at them.

How many years in a row have we heard that missing the playoffs would be considered an abject failure?
