Huberdeau looks like an anchor, frank he’s slow and soft as a cupcake, that trade don’t look good for our rivals lol
- Bettmanhatesus

Losing 40g from Tkachuk hurts.
Huberdeau doesn’t run the PP like JG nor get the D to back off on entries.

So my wife tried this 'open AI' thing and asked a couple of Canuck questions.
One being "should the Canucks trade Horvat?" and the other being "should the Canucks have extended JT Miller?"
Both answers started with "It's not appropriate for me to make a recommendation..."

Miller easily for what he has done & does do & a top 6. Boeser 1 trick pony at $6.65m is more JB’s doing due to the contract structure that was inherited. So comes down to who is better for the Canucks now.

I’ll single out the loser point breeds mediocrity. At least give the winner 2pts for a cheesy 3v3 win in OT the loser squat nada zippo nothing zero. Ban the shootout & play til a winner. Gimmick be gone.

You make it sound so simple Draft some D & another C. Do you size up this draft for that & consider development time?

It’s a deep 2023 draft for C up top but plenty of smallish F’s. D further down but not exactly great being size & RHD not aplenty if at all. So onto the 2024 draft who knows but even longer wait to develop D if picked.

Considering the above is why I expect a hockey trade for Bo. A 1st in the package but still needs real meat being say RHD. Getting more picks will have to come from another trade(s).

- Nighthawk

If they get picks and prospects and direct their attention on rebuilding the D, it is fairly simply a step in the right direction. Ive been wanting D picks in the first two rounds since Bo's draft and unfortunetly they just havent spent xapital to build it right on the back end. Its not simple to develop guys, but it is what they need to do. Cant win nada with this D.

If they get picks/prospects they are mailing in the season. Goes against the grain of what their ask is. So they do as you suggest who will oblige & give what?

Id guess anyone headed to the playoffs. May be even able to ditch Myers of we retain some. If they can shed any of Pearson, OEL,Myers,Garland and Bo(a must if he wants UFA) and get some picks and prospects then thats a nice step. In terms of Bo, top5 teams in the east and west will be looking in if were willing to eat half which theyd be stupid not to. Sign Kuzmenko, revuild the back end with pivks and prospects. Weve got some good offence and goaltending, the d has been criiminally ignored. Hughes is the only big pivk tbey used and hes awesome but they need to use a bunch on D and hope to win a couple lottos. Not one pick every 5 years

Now you’re suggesting they retain cap & open up to more criticism of mixed messages that everybody luvs to whine about. A field day for Twitter & media everywhere.

Mgmt stated want more cap flexibility. Not trading 1sts. Buyouts are possible. To shed anything in season is a big hurdle for any team & why it’ll wait til the TDL or offseason. GM’s across the league say trading is difficult at this time.

League wide it’s we’ll known who is every teams on the block now & last year.
