I hope the Canucks trade Bo Horvat soon and he goes on to have a ton of success. Anyone who moves on from that organization is bettering their career.

- VanHockeyGuy

Tried watching their show a few times, they were not that good. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but how they got to share it with the public daily is one of life's mysteries.

The salary cap is currently expected to go up $1M for 23-24 season because the escrow balance the players owe is not currently projected to be paid in full by the end of this season based on revenue projections. In the event it’s paid in full the cap would go up to ballpark $86M.

That will be a big relief, Canucks will be able to afford Kuzmenko' 6.5 million, Hoglanders 3.5 million and Bears 4.2 million dollar extensions.

Along with 31 other teams. More cap just means more foolish spending just like Biden buying more 31 000.00 toilet seat for the White House (or was it Trump?).

Discuss.

That Studnicka 3rd line experiment definitely appears to be over, they now have him on the 1st line with Bo and Miller, Hoglander back to the pressbox.

I’ve pulled a Bo, my price has gone up and Ek can’t afford me because like the Canucks he blew too much of his cap space on bloggers that get like 5 comments on a good day.

I’m not sure if manlet Dries is the answer either. Maybe give that Pedersen dude a shot?

The $1M increase is actually lower than people expected so if anything you’ll see more of what we saw this past summer since most teams will already be in cap hell before free agency even starts. Likely some buyouts too

Guys like Bo will still get paid big, but the tier 2 and 3 guys will be in tough, especially wingers.

Dries isn't the answer, Pederson isn't either, but would rather see him than Dries, who isn't a good defensive player.

Canucks will sign another 3rd line winger for around 5 million, to add to the collection of Garland and Mikheyev and the even more overpriced 3rd liner Boeser.

Once again the Canuck's are getting national attention for all the wrong reasons.

It's pretty hard to try to improve your team when other teams and the national media are laughing at you publicly.

I really can't blame Rutherford for the radio silence, because whatever he says will turn into a joke or meme.

People over and over going on about the cap raise going to sort out issues. I laughed it off every time. A small bump in the cap is insignificant. Does not keep up with the inflation of contracts over 1 season even...

Well it is Toronto. There are not too many things that come from Toronto that I think I must have.

Sissy Sid, Damien Cox, Bob McCowan are TOs version of Sekeres Price and Drance. Same type of nobody's with a bigger listening audience.

I disagree.

The cap was expected to go up by 4 mil and it could. It could go up by 2 mil or one mil but it really should not matter because as Rubes suggested it just gives more GMs the breathing room to spend foolishly.

I think any GM that plays by the rules of the salary cap needs to go back to GM school. Christ even I could maneuver the Canucks salary cap.

The 4 mil increase is coming but whether it is this year or next really doesn't matter. Mean b1tch Emilie will figure it out.

I have zero doubt that they’ll figure out how to be capped out with a mediocre team. That’s been this team’s specialty for years

Of course. Top teams don’t care about bottom dwellers.

They don’t even bother to show up for 60 minutes against teams like ARI/VAN, 20-40 minutes of trying is usually enough to win
