I've been trying to figure out people's logic. Don't need Boldy.... even though he's a building piece or an asset to build with. Don't move forwards not named Boeser. Use top 10 picks on bottom 6 type players.

I guess UFA's are where the D is coming from because Boeser isn't going to bring one in.

I didn't mind the Podkolzin pick, but clearly Boldy is the better player, at least right now, but Caufield is even better than Boldy.

You didnt phrase it like that but it's more or less the logic. You say they need Podz more than Boldy. I disagree. Even if they keep this forward group intact, Boldy could be traded. If they trade Boeser for cap space, Boldy fills in the hole much better and way smaller cap hit for the next few seasons. It's wiser cap spending.
- boonerbuck

They need Pod to play up to skill set & be a force. They have the other offensive pieces they didn’t have when he was drafted.

I’ve always liked Boldy but at what cost & why would Minny trade him?

I didn’t mind the Pod pick either. Boldy my guy is better. Caulfield isn’t better than Boldy just featured more on a lousy team.

You should go back and read what Darius said, as I think what he is saying is what management is afraid of.

They have all said anywhere but Vancouver, as they don't like the entitled players that are on this team

Start with who you’d move & what you think would come back. I single out Myers cuz he’s a 6m plug & in the way of rebuilding the D. Boeser cuz expendable expensive & underwhelming. It doesn’t end there. Buyout Pearson.
- Nighthawk

I would have moved Miller at the TDL and Boeser in the summer for best offer regardless how small it would have been. That boat has sailed.

Before I say who I'd move, I'll ask how you are supposed to move Myers? I think they've tried hard to move him and there has been no takers. Same with OEL... moving those two this season is a pipe dream.

So that leaves the forwards. Boeser but it may cost them a sweetner... and Bo who would land a good return if they don't (frank) it up like the Miller failed trades. Bo will land a young D I think. He's a delicious acquisition to a team going into the playoffs with a reasonable cap hit. He's damn clutch in the playoffs and brings a lot to a team.

But here's the thing.... after moving Bo, this team will suffer beyond quick repair... so I think if you commit to that... you more or less keep moving players and start fresh. Miller will agree to go... no way he sees this worth his time with Bo gone and this terrible D and soft forwards.... his return wont be anywhere near what he could get last summer though... they dropped the ball. Now he's an overpaid winger.

They (frank)ed it all up with the Miller and Boeser signings.

With Myers they wait til paid his 5m bonus. If no takers ride out the last year.

On Boeser everybody knew his QO price so I don’t believe his value has dropped or risen.

Didn’t hear a serious offer for Miller I’d take. Resigning him was the new regimes gamble & on them. Until they unravel the rest of the mess it’s all moot. We all agree the D needs a rebuild & the pipeline pretty thin.

Everyone knowing what Boeser's QO was is meaningless. They will determine his value through scouting and cap space. I'm not even sure what you are thinking with that comment.

You offer no solutions. You talk about moving Boeser. He's not going to bring in anything that improves this team without the Canucks further dipping into picks and prospects. You talk about moving Myers... pipe dream. No way he helps this team in a trade.... if a trade is even possible. Again, going to cost the Canucks needed assets.

So if these moves are made, you then want to jump into the UFA market for solutions. Wow, I thought we learned our lesson on that... You want size and snarl on the D... that is exactly how they got into the Myers mess.

Go look back & see my valuation in Boeser trades. Not doing your homework. I wouldn’t add any sweeteners with Boeser only the idiots claim it’s necessary. End up dollar out dollar in more likely or close. 6m for Myers mess is hardly close to the cost of any of the 3 I mentioned.

I don’t buy the narrative mgmt is afraid. Has no bearing on anything or purely your imagination.

As for Darius’s post it’s pretty accurate but not completely. Past regimes are gone.

Not really. He plays a power game, going to take a few years to get to the point, as the very sharp ferrero mentioned recently. This guy is 20, dont let the hens om here influence you too much. They shat on Petey all last year, now we see. Takes time. Let the kid grow.

My take on the game…

Minny 3rd game in 4 nights on a B2B easily the better team in the 1st 1-0 & earned coulda been more.

2nd period Canucks reversed it but a bad giveaway & shortie was a killer against the run of play.

3rd period Gustafson was giving nothing. The blender came up empty.

Summary: better team won & insight on how a PO game & series would play out til changes are made.
