So because your knots don't fail on something like a Coho and a spinning rod, a guy using a strong knot for Marlin is "a stupid waste of time"?

Yes, I paid a lodge to take my father and I out on a fishing trip in Mexico as a gift. How else are you supposed to get out in to the mangrove islands and flats? Should I have paid to have my boat shipped to Ascension Bay on Mexico's south coast for a weeks fishing? That makes us losers?

.... and you take exception to me claiming you are narrow minded.

I should have mentioned what an idiot you are as well.

I don't take exception to anything you have to say. I simply consider the source. Nice that your Dad finally got to fish with a real fisherman, even if you had to pay someone for it to happen.

Someone like you judging a real fishermen... that is pure gold. We run into you real fisherman types all the time. Cigarette butts flicked everywhere... beer cans left in the bushes... CO's writing tickets for keeping over limit or killing fish that are catch and release. People with spite for the class of fishermen that are passionate and care for the waters they fish.

Typical Booner. So quick to judgement without any actual knowledge. I don't smoke. I keep giant spool in the back of my truck for the line I've collected at low tide.

I've never paid for someone to take me fishing because, well, that sort of thing puts undue stresses on local ecosystems. Ya know, the very thing you're trying to preach to me about right now.

I was so happy when it looked like Schenn called out JTM for his lack of effort earlier this season. We all saw JTMs laziness and lack of attention to detail. That’s unacceptable for a team leader. Yet no one within the org was saying poop about it. Everyone else got hit with criticism, especially Bruce. But JTM seemed to get a pass. Good on Schenn if he actually did call out JTM.

Plus, what’s the point of trading Schenn now? His contract ain’t an issue and his return will be minimal. Talk about low baring fruit. This franchise is so frustrating.

💯 teams first priority should be signing Schenn for another 2 years. Trade the cowards

If you say so. I have my doubts. Your attitude that people that do anything but tie one knot and only single mindedly fish one method is a stupid waste of time fits the culture I'm talking about.

Not all guides are negative on the ecosystem. Shows how narrowminded you are. Often, whether it's self serving or not, these people protect the environment, raise funds and teach people how to protect the species and ecosystem related to their business. They also fund legal costs of fighting for the sport and waters they want to protect. They clean up the mess left by the gear/meat fishermen all the time... They are on the front line against the abusers.

The guide I used in Mexico is pretty famous(not expensive though). He was a pioneer. He brought the fly fishing culture to Ascension Bay. Instead of killing your catch, it became volanteer catch and release. He went on a campaign to teach the locals using gill nets how the real money was in tourism. The region was suffering poor fish stocks and under size species. Over the following decades, this area's ecosystem improved vastly. Fish stocks and all the species they support increased. Fish became bigger reaching the maturity age to reproduce. The whole cycle of life improved and so did the local economy. He's a living contradiction to your narrow minded narrative.

Over and over you display how single minded you are. You just went off about judging and sure enough, it's in your post right there....
