They scored 2 goals at least, better than the 1986 team that didn't even score at all, baby steps. A few draft picks traded away and some soft Quebec wingers and big, slow and lumbering backs and they'll be World Cup contenders in 2026.

Positive actions as Boudreau said. As The Oil beat up on Minny last night hard to say if they will be hungry or just plain tired. We have a history of rolling over in these games. I'm more looking forward to Bieks'a rebuttal to Chara on HNIC.

What they should do and what they will do, could be 2 different situations.
Unfortunately, the problems exist because 2 separate management regimes have mis-read what they actually have here.

Sometimes you have to take a player a touch higher than you may want to take that player, in order to get what you need.
Last draft there were 2 defensemen chosen shortly after Canucks picked, both provide what is described above.(Bischel and Pickering)

This kid may provide some of that.

Ideally when you’re in a situation like the Canucks, needing specific types of players in your system, it’s a good idea to have as many draft selections as possible, to balance out the need vs ranking thingy.

Hopefully that comes true.

Same here. It's reached a point qualifying for a WC spot just doesn't cut it anymore.

However the team spin would be "experience" & "the taste of success" or "a foundation to build on"
