Holmstrom was in one of the last scrums holding on to Mcewing??. Mcewing just smiled at him and shoved him away but at least he got involved.

Sorry but I’m disappointed with Lambert on this one. He knew what he was up against (a TortorellaTeam) and he couldn’t get his team up and ready. Obviously Lambert had zero game plan.
Barzal’s ice time was 4 minutes higher then others except JGP. Lambert was grasping at straws.

I got a huge kick out of the Shots on Goal idiocy.. They had at least 10 to 15 more shots than the dope doing the shot clock in that building gave the Islanders. it became absurdly obvious when they had 4 or 5 shots in that PP in the second and they only gave them 1 shot. The ESPN dopes were showing the 4 or 5 saves during the PP and then 1 minute later pointed out they only had 2 shots in the second. .. it was comical.

Third Period.. Weekes.. that was a really good job by Holmstrom getting a shot on goal in that situation.... 1 minute later.. Brock puts it into the crest there.... 1 minute later.. Islanders have not had a shot on goal since 16:48 of the second period.

I think you get consumed with some truly unimportant stuff. Don’t let this crap bother you

The Flyers have won one game out of the last 11. Let them have the shot total who cares

I wasn't exactly "consumed" by it.. I just got a kick out of it.. was watching with my son and we were laughing about it.. especially b/c espn kept point out our shots with the graphic. We started to count shot and then laughed at the update.

Only one who should be upset is Hart b/c he had a lot more saves.

looked like he got hurt again.. wonder if he will miss time. I hope not b/c I don't want the flyers to get Bedard.. want them just out of playoffs.

Torts will keep them bad enough to not make the playoffs but good enough to lessen their chances at Bedard.

Wow. #pens announce defenseman Kris Letang is out indefinitely after suffering a stroke on Monday.

Team says he is "not experiencing any lasting effects" and will continue to undergo tests over the next week. He reported symptoms on Monday.

Letang also had a stroke in 2014.

Yikes

edit:

Dave Molinari

Ron Hextall said twice that Letang's stroke was "much less severe" than his one eight years ago, and that he actually attended the game last night, hours after he was diagnosed.

Then it wasn’t a stroke it was a TIA. There is not a hospital in this country who would perform a mechanical thrombectomy or treat with thrombolytic and release their patient. In fact I call absolute utter bullpoop on this

Great start and then that was it. They looked gassed last night and I guess you can expect that once in a while with a somewhat older team. I said they needed 6 out 8 points during that Thanksgiving break and that’s what they got. Philly was gonna win a game sooner or later the important thing is how they bounce back Friday night. I know a lot of you hate Johnston but I loved the opening 30 seconds lol felt like I was a teenager again. It’s a shame they couldn’t capitalize on the quick start but oh well on to the next one

Despite playing an utterly lethargic game they still could've won if not for a few fluky goals against and a few goalposts for. They've been playing great so they get the benefit of the doubt that it was just an off-night, but hopefully they'll bounce back Friday.

Certainly felt that way, given the hot PP of late and Philly dogpoop PK. But they just couldn't string together any sort of sustained pressure last night and you'd be hard-pressed to find a single Islander skater who had a good night.

I can’t believe they let Buccigross anywhere near a mic during games. He is facking terrible and Weekes just wants everybody to like him 🤣🤣

Yeah there’s probably something missing from the tweet or they’re referring to a stroke in the wrong context.

I don't really mind Weekes, but Buccigross is terrible.

I'd still rather listen to those two call 82 Islander games a year than listen to Leah Hextall call one

I wanted to do this to my TV when Buccigross said that someone puts it "top shelf where momma hides the thin mints"
