Funny, I read that as C for captain. If none of their picks are a 3C, they have problems. 4C is a need. Maybe that's Mitts, but I'd think he gets dealt before they give him the Girgs treatment.

Works for me. Might work for them, too. Although I think Cozens has looked great this year.

6 / 7 years puts him at 35/36 yo.
At 6x the cost...not that cost is an issue now, but will begin to be in 3 years.

I thought that was too old, or at least is was strongly inferred 33 + 2 or 3 = 35 / 36 was.

He’s playing on the 3rd pair this year, so he’s getting less minutes
But more concerning is that historically they gave him more Def Zone starts than Off Zone, but this season that’s been switched
They seem to be sheltering him defensively
And that doesn’t sound like the kind of partner we need for Power

Chychrun I heard about a few months ago but it wasn't a "full go" so to speak because he was still hurt and ways from playing. I didn't hear about Horvat as of yet and the Vatrano one is crap, they could have signed him in the off season of they wanted him. No chance on Nylander as EK pointed out in a previous blog, they have no interest in him. I know they are looking for another center but I didn't hear names.

But if Adams likes his potential, then it makes sense to at least consider

You kill 2 birds with a little stone, you add D depth on both sides. The other kid is a decent LD to. Yeah you are right, I know Barron might not be ready until next year. I like the trade because we are strengthening a weak spot in are system in a draft year that isn't a very good year for D prospects .

Without inside knowledge, merely from prospects comments or lack thereof; it seems to me Portillo is the least likely of the 3 to sign..Levi, Johnson, Portillo in that order...IMO of course.

So it makes sense to me to offer him up in a trade if someone sees value in acquiring him.
I like your thought process on building out the D pipeline without sacrificing anything.

No, they would just need to get Power's partner for several years ... this season and 2 more years would be perfect, again IMO.
