Doesn't matter. The Pegulas won't. After Rex Ryan and the Sabres' long list of failures, they only go with people they're comfortable with, and they're very comfortable with the Beane/McDermott combo.

Between Detroit’s backup and w/e the Sabres put out there the over seems like a great bet tonight (6.5).

Missing Dahlin, Samuelsson and Jokiharju while forcing low end defenders to play up has damaged the overall xGA. I'd like to see that number when the top 4 is healthy.

I can live with a drought if the eventual payoff is fantastic. The Bills, for instance, are a Super Bowl contender. The problem is the Sabres look like a team whose ceiling is the Nashville Predators of the 2010s.
