Very True, but they win - Buff36
When he got high sticked last night. He threw up his gloves and stick like a massive yard sale.
Can’t stand kuch after watching him. |

7:26 Dahlin points to Tuch to take 20..... HE POINTS telling him to take the guy and he still follows up behind... hes gotta jump up and grab the next guy - DirtyDan
Dahlin did what he was supposed to do. He pushed Paul outside to a bad angle, then took away the center, forced Stamkos, a righty, to shoot from the right side, just inside the faceoff circle, while getting out of the way of UPL's line of site. Two problems with that play, Tuch should never let a guy ahead of him drop the puck back and UPL should save that shot most times. It's a right handed shooter, shooting from the right side. The team was responsible for a lot of high danger chances, but that one is on UPL and Tuch. Though it was a perfect shot from one of the best goal scorers of his generation.

It’s 2022. You need to be able to skate with speed. He doesn’t. Heck his intensity in the corners is pathetic.
Good time to trade him - Sabretooth9
I am soo with you on this but it seems like mid season trades don’t happen all that often. |

Putting Krebs between those two is largely the same as when Donny put Krebs between Larry and Larry. All 4 of those guys are black holes at 5-on-5 offense.
The question moving forward is whether VO is worth carrying just for special teams and empty net situations. He's nothing for most of a game - Hank Balling
Solid post.

We gave him the Eichle booing treatment after that for the rest of the 2nd period, but the fans got lazy in the 3rd. I tried maintaining it myself, but you can't be a one man show on something like that.
Bonus though, my buddy and I moved to just behind the player benches after the 1st period. It's starting to get to ghost town in there again. I think Thursday I might sit behind Colorado just to see if I can get a few chuckles out of them.

Solid post. - Boss34
Lol, I know you're a big VO fan, Boss. I think it's an interesting discussion though, in all honesty. VO is largely invisible for 59 minutes a game and then he does something sweet in that one minute.
How is that accurately valued? What does it cost?
I think he's a super interesting player for that reason. It reminds me of late-stage Peter Forsberg when his foot turned to soup and he could only play on the power play but it was still pretty good when he was out there |

Put olo with our 2 best defensive players and hope they find him in the ozone 2 or 3 times a game. He’s a AHL caliber player with a world class shot, he needs babysitters.

He disappears for 8 to 10 games and then he will score 4 in the next 2 and disappear again for the next 10 |

Would be interesting to see how an Olofsson Girgs Okposo line would work out, they'd finally have someone who can actually score. Bump Jost up to the 3rd with Asplund and Mitts.

How's Olofsson gonna help Girgensons score, the guy gets plenty of chances. Got stone hands |

Problem is you have 2 dump and chase players playing with a guy in a no contact jersey.

His whole game is predicated on being relevant for only seconds at a time. You can watch a whole game wondering where Olofsson has been and then bam, it's a goal.
I legitimately don't know how to value that.
I dont think anyone ever said "what a shift by Olofsson" but he'll probably end up with 30+ goals. I just don't know what you do with a PP/empty net specialist like him.
He has value, I just have no idea how to quantify it |

Maybe if Girgensons would cut that Squirrel of his face, he might be able to see good enough to hit the net. I will say that knee slide on that Point goal last night was Classic. Think he wants to Captain the Latvian Curling Team. |

Donny doesn’t have the meatballs to do it but something needs to be done with that mess of a bottom 6. |
