Go back and watch it again. The guy has a step on Tuch and had a path to the net. If Dahlin isn't there the guy takes it to the net and then we're mad at Dahlin for not taking the first guy back. The guy only curls around because he sees Dahlin there. It isn't unlike a goalie has to honor the shot first. Tuch was clearly behind the guy coming over the blue line and Dahlin has to focus on that guy. Tuch has the opportunity to engage the guy at center ice and he slowed up.

Paul had position on Tuch and that's why Tuch had to try to reach around him. Paul slows down when Dahlin stands his ground. Again, you can't charge the slot if you're the D in that position. If Tuch is going to engage that guy he needed to do it at center ice. Instead he kind of layed up. He could have easily caught up to him, if he really wanted to. Dahlin is in a weird position because of Tuch's semi-aggresiveness.

The thing is Tuch coasted and its sad that he did that because Dahlin was forced to drop back because Tuch didn't play his man hard enough.

Sid comes to mind immediately. Danny Briere. Dahlin. It's almost always a good quality in a great player. Imagine Marchant if he wasn't a scumbag. Half the player. I wish Skinner would get dirtier.

Everyone here loved Mitts, Asplund, Olofsson many times last year. Myself included. Remember that before you annoint Quinn, Peterka and Cozens. It only hurts worse.

Putting Krebs between those two is largely the same as when Donny put Krebs between Larry and Larry. All 4 of those guys are black holes at 5-on-5 offense.

The question moving forward is whether VO is worth carrying just for special teams and empty net situations. He's nothing for most of a game
